Marriott is debuting one of its most high-end brands, St. Regis Hotels & Resorts, in Riviera Maya, Mexico.

Let’s take a look at this new resort!

Resort Has 124 Rooms, 19 Suites

The St. Regis Kanai Resort, Riviera Maya, has 124 rooms and 19 suites — including a 2,300-square-foot presidential suite. All rooms have views of the ocean, plus a private terrace or plunge pool.

8 restaurant options are on the property, including the hotel’s signature restaurant by acclaimed chef Richard Sandoval, Toro, serving Latin cuisine.

Amenities include The St. Regis Spa, which features 8 treatment suites and a salon, a fitness center, and a beach club that will offer water sports.

No matter which room type you book, all guests will have access to the St. Regis Signature Butler Service, or a designated butler who will be your main point of contact during your stay. Your butler can also handle tasks, such as packing and unpacking luggage and arrange for coffee and tea service, in your room upon arrival.

“The St. Regis brand’s founding family, the Astors, were known for seeking out exquisite locations around the globe for their collection of homes, hosting luminaries and vanguards of the day in the most breathtaking natural surroundings,” Vice President and Global Brand Leader for St. Regis, George Fleck, said in a statement.

How to Book

St. Regis Hotels & Resorts are among the finest luxury properties under the Marriott portfolio. St. Regis falls under Marriott’s Classic Luxury umbrella, among other heavyweights such as The Ritz-Carlton and JW Marriott.

Such distinction means you can expect to pay a pretty penny for a stay at The St. Regis Kanai Resort, Riviera Maya (or any other St. Regis hotel), regardless of whether you’re using cash or points. A 1-night stay costs a whopping 120,000 Marriott Bonvoy points for dates this spring.

Fortunately, Marriott Bonvoy points are among the easiest of all hotel points to earn. The chain has several co-branded credit cards that you can use to redeem Marriott Bonvoy points. You can also transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points earned from several Chase credit cards and Amex Membership Rewards points earned from Amex credit cards at a 1:1 ratio.

Final Thoughts

This is fantastic news, especially for Marriott Bonvoy members who are fans of the St. Regis brand and visit Mexico often. While award nights aren’t cheap, saving up your points for a stay at one of Cancun/Riviera Maya’s most luxurious resorts will be well worth it!
