Wyndham Rewards has made a customer-friendly change for its members.
Certain Club Wyndham properties are available for booking at just 7,500 Wyndham Rewards points per night — a50% savings over the previous “Go Free Condo Award” rates, as first reported by AwardWallet.
The catch is that these rates — at least for now — only apply to a dozen properties. But on the other hand, many of these are located in popular destinations and create compelling opportunities for travelers.
Here’s a look at the details.
Wyndham Adds Lower Redemption Tier at Select Condo Properties
Several years ago, the Wyndham Rewards program charged 15,000 Wyndham Rewards points per night at any property in its portfolio that had award availability.
Then, the program nixed the single-rate system and moved to one with 3 different rates — properties would either cost 7,500, 15,000, or 30,000 Wyndham Rewards points per night, depending on the property.
These rates even apply for several thousand Vacasa Vacation Rentals and Club Wyndham properties, though these properties were restricted to the 15,000- and 30,000-point-per-night rates, and they are priced per bedroom as opposed to per unit.
However, Wyndham has recently added a new, lower-priced tier for some Club Wyndham properties, and this means members can book 1-bedroom condo units for just 7,500 points per night. This makes for a new sweet spot in the Wyndham loyalty program!
Per AwardWallet, the following properties have 1-bedroom condo units available at 7,500 Wyndham Rewards points per night:
Club Wyndham Branson at the Falls (Branson, Missouri)
Club Wyndham Cypress Palms (Kissimmee, Florida)
Club Wyndham Desert Rose Resort (Las Vegas, Nevada)
Club Wyndham Legacy Golf Resort (Phoenix, Arizona)
Club Wyndham Pagosa (Pagosa Springs, Colorado)
Club Wyndham Patriots’ Place (Williamsburg, Virginia)
Club Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Glade (Fairfield Glade, Tennessee)
Club Wyndham Sea Gardens (Pompano Beach, Florida)
Club Wyndham Shawnee Village (Shawnee-on-Delaware, Pennsylvania)
Club Wyndham Star Island (Kissimmee, Florida)
Peacock Suites (Anaheim, California)
WorldMark Indio (Indio, California)
Several of the properties above — especially those in Kissimmee and Anaheim — boast close proximity to Walt Disney World and Disneyland, respectively.
But even better, you can score these 1-bedroom condo units for even fewer points. Wyndham co-branded cardholders receive a 10% discount on award bookings, which means if you hold one (or more) of these cards, you’ll be able to book nights in spacious condo accommodations for just 6,750 points per night.
Final Thoughts
This is a great development for Wyndham Rewards members. The ability to book an entire condo — many of them located in very desirable locations — for just 7,500 points per night (or even fewer if you hold a Wyndham co-branded credit card!) is a great perk of the program.
And if you have cards in your wallet that earn Capital One Miles or Citi ThankYou Points, it’s easy to earn the points required to book these properties!
