If you’re a seasoned traveler, you’ve probably heard of Priority Pass, one of the largest networks of airport lounges in the world.

With more than 1,500 locations in its network, Priority Pass is one of the biggest names in the business. You can find Priority Pass lounges in over 600 cities across 148 countries globally. As a member, you always have a good chance to find a place to relax before your flight.

In this guide, we’ll show you all of the best Priority Pass lounges in the world and highlight the amenities that make each lounge worth a visit.

What Is Priority Pass?

Priority Pass is a membership program that allows you to access various airport lounges, experiences, and restaurants worldwide. There are different tiers of memberships, each with different fees.

When you sign up for a membership, you get your Priority Pass membership card via mail as part of a welcome kit. Bring your membership card and swipe it when you get to an eligible airport lounge. In some locations, you can scan your digital QR code from the Priority Pass app to get access.

Priority Pass facilities, features, and perks vary between lounges, but many have a hot buffet, complimentary alcohol, a business center, an abundance of seating, and even shower facilities.

The Priority Pass standard membership costs $99 per year, while the high-end Prestige membership costs $469 per year.

Fortunately, Priority Pass is a complimentary perk on lots of credit cards! Many of these credit card Priority Pass memberships cover the primary cardholder plus 2 additional guests, which is better than the $469 per year Prestige membership that only covers the primary member and charges $35 per guest.

How To Get Priority Pass Lounge Access With Credit Cards

It’s definitely worth it to get Priority Pass through an eligible credit card, if possible.

Depending on which credit card you have, a Priority Pass Select membership could entitle you to unlimited visits for yourself and 2 extra guests for free! Remember to enroll, if applicable, through your card’s benefits page.

Our favorite card to help you get a complimentary Priority Pass Select membership is The Platinum Card® from American Express.

This is the best card in the world for lounge membership because, in addition to Priority Pass Select, it confers access to the Global Lounge Collection, which includes The Centurion Lounge Network (including International American Express Centurion Lounges), Delta Sky Club (when flying Delta), Escape Lounges – The Centurion Studio Partner, Lufthansa Lounges, and Plaza Premium Lounges.

Other cards with a complimentary Priority Pass Select membership include The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card, Chase Sapphire Reserve®, and Marriott Bonvoy Brilliant® American Express® Card.

The lounge has a generous hot food selection, a laksa noodle station, espresso and blended coffee, draft beer, soda fountains, and a self-serve bar.

There are also shower stalls, free Wi-Fi, and plenty of power outlets. Unfortunately, these shower stalls resemble what you’d find at a local gym rather than shower suites with private bathrooms, vanities, and dressing areas.

This intimate lounge has shower suites, awesome hot food, Arab-style coffee and dates, a premium liquor selection, and even daybeds for a quick nap.

In the past, Oman Air operated a prestigious nonstop route between Bangkok (BKK) and Muscat (MCT), which explains why the airline invested in an outstation lounge for business and first class passengers.

While this isn’t an oft-reviewed lounge, we have it on good authority that the VIP Lounge (East) at GDL is one of the best places to be. This is 1 of 2 Priority Pass options at GDL, and this one is very similar to the VIP Lounge (West), so just keep that in mind.

Essentially, this lounge is an open room with a dining area, an open floor plan full of lounge seating, and lots of flat-screen TVs. It also has a quiet area and a striking cocktail bar. The buffet serves up a few hot items along with sandwiches, salad, and fruit, and the bar serves up beer, wine, and cocktails.

The quiet area has recliners and ottomans, making it the best place to take a nap. There’s a business center with conference tables, a large TV, and a desktop computer.

Sapphire Lounge LGA
The Sapphire Lounge at LaGuardia is already making a name for itself. Image Credit: Chase

Location: Terminal B, next to the American Express Centurion Lounge
Hours: 4:30 a.m. to 9:30 p.m.

We haven’t had much time to soak in this addition to LGA‘s fabulously refurbished Terminal B, but it’s already made waves among air travelers.

The lounge’s 21,000 square feet spans 2 floors. The first floor consists of both open space and nooks radiating from a central, 360-degree bar, including a space for families and a quiet space for those without little kids. Speaking of kids, the playroom includes a photobooth that opens up onto a games arcade with an old-fashioned standing jukebox.

The lounge also includes relaxation areas, facial treatment rooms, both a buffet and an à la carte menu, a coffee and soft drinks station on each floor, and nursing and family rooms. Underlying all the amenities is an elegant design that’s already seemed to have bowled everyone over.

The second floor has more seating that’s less frenzied during busy times. It also houses the Reserve Suites, the private suites that run from $2,200 to $3,000 for 3 hours. These suites come with sofas and dining tables, TVs, on-demand movies, PlayStation consoles, luxurious bathrooms with Oribe toiletries and rainfall showers, an unlimited suite-delivery menu (including Osetra caviar and seafood towers, as well as anything from the regular lounge menu), and special wine lists. To top it off, guests have a dedicated host to see all their needs at any time.

Though it’s too early to tell yet, this may be the new world’s best Priority Pass lounge — and it may be in Queens, of all places!
