Many of the credit card offers that appear on this site are from credit card companies from which we may receive financial compensation when a customer clicks on a link, when an application is approved, or when an account is opened. This compensation may impact how and where products appear on this site (including, for example, the order in which they appear). However, the credit card information that we publish has been written and evaluated by experts who know these products inside out. We only recommend products we either use ourselves or endorse. This site does not include all credit card companies or all available credit card offers that are on the market. See our advertising policy here where we list advertisers that we work with, and how we make money. You can also review our credit card rating methodology.

110,000 bonus points with the American Express® Business Gold Card is a strong welcome offer for eligible applicants.
That said, some applicants may be targeted for even higher welcome offer with the opportunity to earn as high as 200,000 points. Here’s the current public welcome offer:
As High As 200,000 points. Find Out Your Offer. You may be eligible for as high as 200,000 Membership Rewards® Points after spending $15,000 in your first 3 months of Membership. Welcome offers vary and you may not be eligible for an offer.
In this guide, we’ll discuss how you can confirm your eligibility before applying and the steps to confirming which welcome offer you’ll receive.
Targeted offers are discussed in the article below. Please note that these offers are not available to all applicants. Any information related to targeted offers has been collected independently and has not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
Amex Business Gold Card 110K Welcome Offer
Available welcome offers for the Amex Business Gold card are based on factors such as your credit score, income, and prior relationship with American Express. There are numerous bonus offers available at any time.
Eligibility & Pop-Up Rules for the 110K Bonus Offer
You can easily find out your eligibility for the welcome offer by seeing if a “pop-up message” appears during the application. If you see this, Amex is informing you that you’re not eligible for the welcome offer on the Amex Business Gold card.

From here, you can keep going (without earning the bonus offer) or withdraw from the process. Either way, your credit score won’t be affected.
If you don’t see this pop-up window, this means you’re eligible for the welcome offer shown on the next screen. Not everyone will see the highest welcome offer, as your eligibility is based on existing American Express account activity, your previous and current card history, and other factors listed on your application. Most of the time, welcome offers can only be earned once per specific card. Under the “Offer & Benefit Terms” of the application, you may find this lifetime-limiting language: “You may not be eligible to receive a welcome offer if you have or have had this Card or previous versions of this Card.”
Our writers recently found a 200,000-point welcome offer on the Amex Business Gold card:

If you want to apply and find out which bonus offer you’re targeted for, click the “Apply Now” button and enter your basic information to continue the application. Initially, American Express conducts a soft credit check to approve you and determine the welcome offer it will show you. If you decide to leave the application, even after reviewing your welcome offer, fortunately your credit score won’t be affected. (Source: American Express)
However, your credit score may be affected if you accept your new card and open the new account. That’s because there may be a hard credit inquiry at the point of finalizing the application.

Here’s an example of a welcome offer for 110,000 points.

And lucky applicants may see a higher welcome offer of 150,000 bonus points.

We value Membership Rewards points at 2.2 cents each on average, meaning a 100,000-point welcome offer is worth $2,200, a 110,000-point offer is worth $2,420, and a 150,000-point offer is worth $3,300.
Option 2: Check the CardMatch Tool
If you aren’t satisfied with the offer Amex shows you, we recommend checking offers in the CardMatch tool.
CardMatchperforms a soft credit check to determine whether you’re eligible for any better offers. Because it isn’t a hard pull, checking offers won’taffect your credit score by showing an inquiry on your credit report. (Source: CardMatch)
If you’re still searching for a better offer, watch for targeted email or mail offers. To receive these, you must opt in to receive new card and credit offers in your Amex account’s general marketing email preferences.
Option 4. Amex Business Gold Card Referral Offers
Friends and family members with an American Express card can refer you to an Amex card using the refer-a-friend program. This program also works for small business cards.
Better yet, referring a friend does not require the person referring you to have the Amex Business Gold card themselves. No matter which American Express card they hold, they can send you their referral offer. If you’re lucky, you may receive a targeted welcome offer that earns you even more points. You might even receive a 110,000- or 150,000-point Amex Business Gold card referral offer.
Fly ANA first class to Japan: Amex transfer partner Virgin Atlantic charges between 145,000 and 170,000 points for a round-trip first class flight on Tokyo-based ANA. Amex points transfer to Virgin Atlantic Flying Club at a 1:1 ratio, meaning 1 Amex point becomes 1 Virgin Point.
Fly round-trip business class to Europe: Avianca is a Star Alliance member, and its award database includes flights on United, Lufthansa, Air Canada, and SWISS. Avianca charges 63,000 miles one-way for a business class flight from the U.S. to Europe. Amex points transfer at a 1:1 ratio.
Book 7 tickets to French Polynesia: Australian airline Qantas partners with Air Tahiti Nui to provide award flights to French Polynesia, and flights from the U.S. West Coast cost just 22,500 points one-way in economy. Amex points transfer to Qantas at a 1:1 ratio.
When applying for the Amex Business Gold card, you may find welcome offers varying around 110,000 points. However, some people may be targeted for the opportunity to earn as high as 200,000 points. Be sure to check your eligibility before applying, and review our full Amex Business Gold card guide for complete details.
