The Sapphire Reserve for Business℠ card has several statement credits that help offset its high $795 annual fee. These range from travel-friendly credits, such as a $300 annual travel credit, to more business-focused credits, including annual credits from ZipRecruiter and Google Workspace.

One of the card’s more interesting benefits is its $100 Giftcards.com credit. You can choose from a limited number of merchants, including big names like DoorDash, Bloomingdale’s, and Macy’s.

What Is the Chase Sapphire Reserve Business Card Giftcards.com Credit?

The Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card’s Giftcards.com credit gives you $100 to spend on a limited selection of gift cards to third-party merchants sold by Giftcards.com. You must redeem the credit through a dedicated Giftcards.com landing page, not the standard Giftcards.com website.

The $100 credit is split up into 2 annual credits. You can redeem $50 from January through June and another $50 from July through December. You can redeem the credit for a $50 gift card to a single merchant or split it up among multiple smaller gift cards. Likewise, you can buy a more expensive gift card to effectively use the Giftcards.com statement credit as a $50 discount.

Once you purchase a gift card, wait 6 to 8 weeks for the statement credit to post to your account. In our experience, the credit posts much faster than this. For example, I purchased a $50 TJX Multibrand gift card with my Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card over the summer and received the statement credit just days later.

Is the Giftcards.com Credit Worth It?

The Giftcards.com statement credit is one of the easiest Chase Sapphire Business card statement credits to redeem. Looking at the list of supported merchants, there’s a good chance you can buy a gift card for a merchant you already shop with regularly. For example, you can use it to buy a DoorDash gift card and order lunch from your favorite restaurant, or you can buy a Macy’s gift card and give it to an employee who did an exceptionally good job on a project.

Final Thoughts

While the Giftcards.com statement credit only provides $100 per year in value, it’s one of the easiest Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card statement credits to redeem. Just visit the card’s dedicated Giftcards.com landing page 2 times per year — once between January and June and once between July and December — and buy $50 worth of gift cards to a merchant of your choice.

You can use these gift cards for yourself, your employees, or give a gift to a friend or client. Regardless, there are enough merchants available that you should be able to use the credit for a gift card with a merchant you already shop with. It’s an easy way to get $100 back toward the card’s $795 annual fee.
