If you frequently vacation, shop, or stream with Disney, the new Disney® Inspire Visa® Card can reward your loyalty.

Though the $0-annual-fee Disney® Visa® Card unlocks Disney discounts, and the Disney® Premier Visa® Card sweetens the deal with greater rewards earning, the Disney Inspire card offers significant savings with increased rewards categories and credits for Disney loyalists. With the Disney Inspire card, you can earn a large welcome offer, access higher rewards earning, and use credits worth hundreds each year.

Disney fans who frequently visit the parks, sail with Disney Cruise Line, shop with Disney, or subscribe to Disney streaming services can benefit from this card.

Earning Disney Rewards Dollars

1. Welcome Offer [$600]

The Disney® Inspire Visa® Card earns a combined $600 welcome offer:

  • Earn a $300 Disney Gift Card eGift upon card approval and a $300 statement credit after spending $1,000 within the first 3 months.

That far exceeds the card’s $149 annual fee, so you can get value from the card as soon as you apply.

2. Up to 10% in Disney Rewards Dollars Categories [$160 or More]

Disney Plus Upgraded Points LLC 2

You can earn bonus rewards on Disney and everyday purchases with the Disney Inspire card:

  • 10% on Disney+, Hulu, or ESPN+
  • 3% at most U.S. Disney locations and gas stations
  • 2% at grocery stores and restaurants
  • 1% on all other purchases

The earning rates on the Disney Inspire card are much better than the Disney Premier card and the Disney Visa card. With the Disney Premier card, bonus categories top out at 5% for Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+, and 2% at gas stations, grocery stores, restaurants, and most Disney U.S. locations. The Disney Visa card only earns 1% on all purchases.

There’s no limit on the amount of Disney Rewards Dollars you can earn, and your rewards don’t expire as long as you have the card.

Let’s say you spend about $3,000 annually at gas stations, $2,000 at grocery stores and restaurants, and $1,000 on U.S. Disney purchases. You’d earn $160 in Disney Rewards Dollars each year, which is more than enough to offset the annual fee.

Bottom Line:

Earning 10% on Disney streaming services is great, but the 3% earning rate on most U.S. Disney purchases is where Disney fans can really rack up rewards. The 3% rate applies to Disney vacations and cruises, tickets, purchases in the parks, at Disney retail stores, restaurants, and more — and it’s enough to consider using the Disney Inspire card instead of a general cash-back card for Disney purchases.

Redemptions

3. Disney Purchases and Airline Travel

Disney Rewards Dollars are worth $1 each and are redeemable at Walt Disney World, Disneyland, Disney Cruise Line, and more. They can also be used to book Disney vacations or see Disney movies at AMC Theatres.

If you’re visiting a Disney park, you can use a Disney Rewards Redemption Card for merchandise, food, and more. Request a Redemption Card after earning at least 20 Disney Rewards Dollars, and your card can be reloaded at DisneyRewards.com, through the Chase app, or by phone. Request your card a few weeks in advance so you’ll receive it in time, or pick one up at select Disney park locations.

Using the Pay Yourself Back feature, you can redeem Disney Rewards Dollars for airline purchases charged to your Disney Inspire card. The benefit can be used with any airline on any date, but your tickets must be booked directly with the airline, not through a travel agent or website. You can use the Pay Yourself Back feature to redeem Disney Rewards Dollars to get a statement credit within 90 days of your purchase.

Disney Perks

4. Annual 200 Disney Rewards Dollars Credit [$200]

The Disney Inspire card’s welcome offer is valuable, though you can only earn it once. A valuable benefit you can earn every anniversary year is the 200 Disney Rewards Dollars credit, which you can get by spending $2,000 on qualifying Disney vacation or cruise purchases.

This benefit offers $200 in Disney value when you spend at least $2,000 on qualifying U.S. Disney vacations each anniversary year. For most families, a single trip to Disney World or Disneyland costs at least $2,000 once you factor in booking a resort and buying park tickets. You could earn it each year with an annual trip and get $200 in rewards value to spend at the parks or with the cruise line.

This is one of the most valuable benefits of the card, and it renews every anniversary year and stacks with the 3% in Disney Rewards Dollars you earn on U.S. Disney purchases made with the card.

Disney vacation spending that counts toward the credit includes:

  • Disney resort hotels, including room charges
  • Disney resort vacation packages, including theme park tickets purchased in the package
  • Disney Cruise Line stateroom rates booked directly with Disney Cruise Line

Standalone Disney theme park tickets (not in a vacation package), Adventures by Disney, National Geographic Expeditions, international Disney resorts or parks, and Disney Cruise Line onboard charges and port adventures don’t count toward the spending for this credit.

Hot Tip:

Even if you don’t spend $2,000 on Disney resort room rates each year, you can meet the spending requirement with other expenses. Theme park tickets purchased in a vacation package count, and so do room charges, including merchandise, food, and beverages purchased at the resort or any in-park purchases charged to your room with your MagicBand+.

5. $100 Disney Theme Park Tickets Statement Credit [$100]

Another valuable anniversary-year perk of the Disney Inspire card is a $100 statement credit after spending $200 on U.S. Disney theme park tickets. Like the vacation credit, you can earn the ticket credit each cardmember anniversary year, so it offers long-term value beyond the welcome offer.

Eligible purchases include tickets purchased directly from Disney for:

  • Disney World theme parks
  • Disneyland
  • Disney water parks
  • Disney World annual passes (including monthly renewal payments)
  • Disneyland Magic Key passes (including monthly renewal payments)

Tickets purchased as part of a Disney vacation package do not count.

If you visit a U.S. Disney theme park at least 2 days per year, you’ll likely earn this credit. Disney World annual passholders and Magic Key holders can effectively get a $100 annual discount on passes, even if you pay monthly.

6. Disney Theme Park and Resort Discounts and Experiences [$400 or More]

Disney Inspire cardholders can take advantage of savings and experiences at Disney parks, including:

  • 10% off select merchandise at participating retail locations at Disney World, Disneyland, and select Disney resorts
  • 10% off select dining at participating Disney World and Disneyland locations
  • 15% off select guided tours at Disney World and Disneyland
  • 10% off select recreation experiences at Walt Disney World

Use your Disney Inspire card and mention the discount at checkout. The dining discount typically applies at table-service locations, not quick-service dining, and exclusions apply.

This benefit is great for saving on meals, souvenirs, and experiences while vacationing at the parks.

Cardholders can also access exclusive character photo locations at Disney World and Disneyland, including complimentary photo downloads.

7. Disney Cruise Line Perks [$100 or More]

If you travel with Disney Cruise Line, you can claim onboard savings, including:

  • 10% off select onboard merchandise
  • 10% off eligible digital photo packages
  • 20% off certain spa treatments on port days
  • Discounted experiences at Disney Castaway Cay and Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point

As with other Disney cardholder discounts, you must use your Disney Inspire card and mention the offer at checkout.

8. DisneyStore.com and Disney Store Savings [$30 or More]

You can save on Disney shopping online and at Disney Store retail locations in the U.S. when you pay with your Disney Inspire card. You get 10% off select purchases when you enter the applicable promo code or mention the offer in store. If you spent about $300 on Disney Store purchases in person or online each year, you’d save about $30.

9. $10 Monthly Disney Streaming Credit [$120]

If you subscribe to Disney streaming services, paying with the Disney Inspire card can help offset the cost. It offers a $10 monthly statement credit when you spend $10 or more on qualifying subscriptions or add-on purchases on Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. It adds up to $120 in annual statement credits.

You must activate this benefit with Chase each calendar year.

Hot Tip:

If you have an annual plan, consider switching to a monthly plan. Annual subscriptions only get a one-time $10 credit in the month you make your purchase.

10. Special Disney Vacation Financing

Disney Inspire cardholders can use special promotional financing on Disney vacations, receiving a 6-month 0% promotional APR for eligible purchases. You can use the financing on qualifying Disney resort stays, Disney Cruise Line vacations, and some travel experiences booked with Disney.

While this benefit doesn’t offer rewards or statement credits to offset the cost of a Disney vacation, it can help spread out the cost over several months without interest charges.

Hot Tip:

Travel Benefits

11. No Foreign Transaction Fee

The Disney Inspire card doesn’t charge a foreign transaction fee, so you can use it for international purchases without paying an extra fee. That’s a 3% savings any time you make a foreign purchase.

Final Thoughts

The Disney Inspire card can offer significant savings if you spend with Disney, whether you’re streaming, shopping, or visiting Disney parks. If you take at least 1 Disney vacation or Disney cruise each year, the benefits can outweigh the $149 annual fee.

With the $200 resort credit, $100 theme park ticket credit, and $120 streaming credit, you can get more than $400 in annual value from the card — and that’s before you take advantage of cardholder discounts. Add the strong welcome offer and solid earning rates, and this is a standout card in the Disney lineup.
