Competition in the domestic airline world is intensifying, and JetBlue’s top-tier elites stand to benefit.

Now through June 30, American Airlines is extending top-tier Executive Platinum status to JetBlue Mosaic 3 and 4 members. Once granted, the status lasts for 4 months, and travelers have the ability to extend it by hitting specific Loyalty Point thresholds.

American Airlines’ AAdvantage Executive Platinum is the highest publicly available elite status in the program. Members enjoy complimentary Main Cabin Extra seats at booking, access to complimentary upgrades, and a dedicated service desk, among other benefits.

Here’s everything you need to know about this valuable status match promotion.

AA Executive Platinum Status Match Details

American Airlines has rolled out a limited-time promotion for JetBlue’s most loyal flyers. Through June 30 at 11:59 p.m. CT, JetBlue Mosaic 3 and 4 members can upload proof of their elite status on American’s promotion page. Once approved, they’ll receive Executive Platinum status for 4 months.

The screenshot must come from JetBlue’s “My Activity” dashboard and clearly show your full name, TrueBlue number, current status level, and the status expiration date through January 2025 or January 2026. American Airlines says it can take up to 4 weeks to review your submission.

You can maintain some level of AAdvantage status for a few more months at a time by earning a specific number of Loyalty Points — the airline’s elite-qualifying metric:

You can earn Loyalty Points in many ways, including flying on American Airlines and its partners, using AAdvantage credit cards, and spending with AAdvantage eShopping, AAdvantage Dining, and American Airlines Hotels.

That said, if you’ve already participated in an American Airlines Instant Status Pass promotion during the last 2 years, you won’t be eligible to take part in this offer.

Hot Tip:

This promotion comes as American Airlines is suing JetBlue after the breakup of their Northeast Alliance (NEA) partnership, seeking to recover money owed, Reuters reported. At the same time, JetBlue and United Airlines are negotiating a partnership.

Final Thoughts

It’s never been a better time to have airline elite status, as you can often “match” your level to competing airlines as they try to win over your business (and loyalty). With American Airlines’ extensive route network, top-tier JetBlue members have a valuable opportunity, whether for a few months or in the long run.
