The latest Wyndham Rewards promotion allows you to purchase Wyndham points with a 25% discount through Monday, October 21.

Here are the details of the promotion, a look at whether it’s a good deal, and how you can put these points to good use.

Buy Wyndham Points With a 35% Bonus

Through October 21, 2024, you can receive a discount when purchasing Wyndham Rewards points.

Visit Wyndham’s More Ways to Earn page and scroll down to Purchase Points. You’ll need to sign into your account to see the offers.

  • Purchase 3,000+ points: 25% discount on purchase (0.97 cents per point)

We value Wyndham points at 0.9 cents each, so these prices are reasonable, and depending on what you plan to redeem these points for, buying them at these rates could make sense.

Before we tackle that, here are the other terms of the promotion you should be aware of:

  • The promotion runs from now until Monday, October 21.
  • Purchases made during the promotion period will be applied against the annual maximum cap of 100,000 Wyndham Rewards points.
  • A minimum of 3,000 points is required to trigger the discount.
  • Points will be posted to the recipient’s Wyndham Rewards account within 72 hours after the completed transaction.
  • Points purchases do not count toward Member Levels.
  • Point purchases are nonrefundable.

Is It Worth It?

Wyndham offers 3 categories of award redemptions. But you can also redeem points at Vacasa vacation rentals thanks to a partnership with Wyndham.

Here’s a look at redemption rates for all 3 categories of Wyndham properties and Vacasa rentals, along with the cash price you’d pay for the points if you were to maximize this promotion:

  • Category 1 (7,500 points per night): As low as $78
  • Category 2 (15,000 points per night): As low as $146
  • Category 3 (30,000 points per night): As low as $292
  • Vacasa Rental (15,000 or 30,000 points per bedroom): As low as $146

Depending on the property you’d like to visit, it could certainly be worth purchasing points at these rates. For instance, Vacasa vacation rentals can be quite expensive, especially in high-demand locations, so being able to book free nights at these properties starting at $144 per bedroom can be a phenomenal deal.

Don’t forget, though, that Wyndham Rewards is a 1:1 transfer partner of the Capital One Miles and Citi ThankYou Rewards programs, so if you currently have a large balance of either of these currencies, it might make more sense to transfer instead of purchasing new points.

Hot Tip: If you need additional redemption ideas, read through our guide on redeeming Wyndham Rewards points for maximum value.

Final Thoughts

This 25% discount on purchased points allows you to buy Wyndham Rewards points at a very good rate, but you’ll want to ensure that you have a solid redemption lined up before doing so.

For those interested in taking advantage of the promotion, ensure that you do so before it ends on October 21.
