Capital One has recently reintroduced JetBlue TrueBlue as a transfer partner, making it the 17th loyalty program to join the program. And with the new inclusion of JetBlue TrueBlue comes the age-old question: How long does it take to get your points?

Let’s examine Capital One’s newest transfer partner, how to transfer your miles, and how soon you can expect to see them in your account.

Capital One Welcomes JetBlue Back as a Transfer Partner

Capital One and JetBlue have had a long history; the airline was among the first transfer partners offered by Capital One when it debuted in 2018. Nonetheless, the partnership ended in 2021, resulting in Capital One having no domestic airline partner.

Now, JetBlue has been reintroduced as a transfer partner of Capital One — though its transfer ratio has decreased. Those looking to transfer their Capital One miles to JetBlue can now do so at a 5:3 ratio, meaning 1,000 Capital One miles become 600 JetBlue points.

That’s a stark difference from other partners, including Citi ThankYou Points and Chase Ultimate Rewards, both of which transfer at a 1:1 ratio.

Even American Express Membership Rewards transfer at a 1:0.8 ratio, which surpasses Capital One’s offering.

Still, if you need to get some JetBlue points in a hurry and don’t have any others on hand, it’s nice that Capital One is offering a solution.

How Long Do Capital One and JetBlue Transfers Take?

To transfer your Capital One miles over to JetBlue, you’ll first want to log in to your Capital One account. From there, you’ll navigate to the redeem rewards section, and finally the transfer rewards section.

To transfer your miles, your Capital One and JetBlue accounts need to be linked. If you don’t already have an account, you’ll need to enroll.

You can then select how many miles you’d like to transfer. Note that you must transfer at least 1,000 miles.

Your miles will then be transferred immediately over. How quickly? The total transfer time in our test was just over 30 seconds, making it nearly instantaneous.

Final Thoughts

Capital One has reintroduced JetBlue TrueBlue as a transfer partner. While the transfer rate has decreased since the partnership ended in 2021, it remains Capital One’s sole domestic U.S. airline partner, which could be useful if you need to boost your account quickly for an award flight.

Plus, transfers from Capital One to JetBlue take just 30 seconds, meaning you’ll never miss out on an award flight while waiting for your points to post.
