Capital One is officially launching its first location in New York City, which is set to be its flagship offering across its entire lounge network.

The lounge, which spans 13,500 square feet, is Capital One’s largest lounge and will offer a variety of great amenities, including specially curated premium food and beverage offerings in partnership with celebrated New York businesses and artisans.

Upgraded Points and other media members were invited to do a guided tour of the lounge ahead of its opening day on June 19, 2025. With that, here is a full look at everything the new flagship Capital One Lounge at JFK will offer to travelers.

As you flip through the menu, you’ll find creative cocktails that reflect NYC’s various neighborhoods. You’ll also find cocktails that feature an Apple Brandy from Laird and Company, served exclusively at the Capital One Lounge at JFK as part of Capital One’s “Spirit of” program.

Also, exclusive to the lounge at JFK is the Skyscraper IPA — abrew created by Grimm Artisanal Ales as part of Capital One’s “Perfect Airport Beer” program. Additionally, you’ll find local beers from brewers like TALEA Beer Company, as well as hand-selected wines and non-alcoholic beverages.

If you want to take things up a notch, the lounge offers a “Rare Bottle Club,” through which guests can purchase and enjoy rare and hard-to-find liquors and wines, such as prohibition-era gins, 1950s bourbons, and rare vintages.

If you’re traveling with a large party and want a private space to yourself, there are 2 private rooms available for reservation, located next to the bar. You can reserve these for up to 45 minutes. These aren’t available for reservation in advance, so you’ll need to do so after arriving at the lounge.

An innovative feature of the lounge is the inclusion of trolley carts, which provide tableside service of rotating items throughout the day, including Italian-style shaken iced coffee in the morning, afternoon tea service, and a champagne toast at sunset. There’s also a midnight snack, which is exclusive to the JFK Lounge, as an homage to the city that never sleeps.

Cheesemonger

Perhaps the most innovative feature of the new Capital One Lounge at JFK is the cheesemonger station.

Built by Manhattan-based cheesemonger Murray’s Cheese, the interactive experience offers curated cheese boards with charcuterie and a variety of accompaniments, alongside optional wine and beer pairings.

All customers receive a curated tasting experience based on a rotating selection of cheeses.

There are just 6 seats available for the cheesemonger experience, and the tasting is sure to be extremely popular. Reservations will be done on a first-come, first-served basis, and like the other more-limited amenities in the lounge, you’ll be able to put your name on the reservation list, in person, at the cheesemonger station.

Further, unlike the rest of the lounge — which is open 24 hours a day — the cheesemonger section is only open from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

How To Access the Capital One Lounge at JFK

After seeing how great the new Capital One Lounge at JFK looks, you’re likely wondering, “How can I get in?”

Here is how you, and anyone traveling with you, can access the Capital One Lounge:

You’ll also need a valid boarding pass for a departing or connecting same-day flight, and the lounge is accessible up to 3 hours before your departure time.

Hot Tip:

If you travel out of JFK frequently and want to make regular use of the Capital One Lounge, you’ll definitely want to add the Capital One Venture X card or the Capital One Venture X Business card to your wallet.

Final Thoughts

The new Capital One Lounge at JFK offers tons to love, and it is easy to see why it is the card issuer’s flagship offering across its entire lounge network.

If you have the Capital One Venture X card or Capital One Venture X Business card and you’re flying out of Terminal 4, the lounge is a must-visit. In fact, we wouldn’t judge you if you were flying out of a different terminal but made a pitstop to enjoy this new lounge anyway.

In an airport that already offers several stellar lounge options, the new Capital One Lounge fits in perfectly and will leave travelers flying out of JFK, especially those who have access to multiple lounge networks, spoiled for choice.
