The Chase Sapphire family has changed up quite a bit. The original Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card and the Chase Sapphire Reserve® has recently received significant updates, while the issuer launched its first-ever Sapphire business card last year: the Sapphire Reserve for Business℠.

They’re all great travel credit cards in their own right, so how should you decide which card is best for you in 2026? Read on for our tips to help you decide which Sapphire version is the best fit for your wallet.

Chase Sapphire Card Welcome Offers

All Chase Sapphire cards earn Chase Ultimate Rewards points, giving you the flexibility to book travel through Chase Travel using the Points Boost feature or transfer your points to more than a dozen airline and hotel partners.

These redemption options give you a higher cent-per-point value than redeeming your points for cash-back or gift cards, which is why Upgraded Points values them at 2 cents apiece.

And, for a limited time, the Chase Sapphire Preferred card is featuring its best-ever welcome offer of 100,000 points.

As for the higher-tier Chase Sapphire Reserve card, you can earn a bonus offer of: Earn 100,000 bonus points after you spend $6,000 on purchases in the first 3 months from account opening.

For business owners, the Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card equivalent comes with a welcome offer of: Earn 200,000 bonus points after you spend $30,000 on purchases in your first 6 months and access more than $7,000 in total business and travel value in your first year.

Bottom Line:

The Chase Sapphire Reserve Business card has, by far, the most valuable welcome offer. However, it also requires you to meet a very large minimum spending requirement. If you’re not in the market for a business card, both the Chase Sapphire Preferred card and Chase Sapphire Reserve card offer the opportunity to earn 100,000 points. Either bonus offer is worth $2,000 for travel redemptions.

Can You Hold Multiple Chase Sapphire Cards?

If you’re serious about maximizing points, the good news is that you can now apply for multiple cards within the Chase Sapphire family — a strategy that wasn’t possible under Chase’s previous application rules.

For instance, you could easily hold both the Chase Sapphire Preferred card and the Chase Sapphire Reserve card. This would allow you to take advantage of several 3x bonus categories on the Chase Sapphire Preferred card while pairing that with the 4x and 8x categories, along with a bevy of annual credits and airport lounge access of the Chase Sapphire Reserve card — making for a powerful card combination.

Not to mention that the combined welcome offers from these 2 cards would provide you with a whopping 200,000 Chase points — which we value at $4,000 for travel.

Final Thoughts

All of the Chase Sapphire cards have plenty to offer cardholders, with excellent bonus categories, benefits, travel protections, and welcome bonus offers. Once you’ve decided which card is best for you, you can rest assured that you’ll easily be able to add the other cards to your wallet at a later date.
