Whenever Chase launches a higher welcome offer on the Chase Sapphire Preferred® Card, I immediately start thinking about all the places those points could take me.

A 100,000-point welcome bonus offer can go an incredibly long way. The real value comes from transferring points to Chase’s airline and hotel partners, where a single welcome offer can unlock flights and hotel stays that would otherwise cost thousands of dollars.

To see just how far those points can go, I looked at several redemption opportunities that offer exceptional value. Whether you’re dreaming of a lie-flat seat to Europe, a luxury Hyatt getaway, or a family vacation abroad, these are some of my favorite ways to maximize a 100,000-point Chase Sapphire Preferred card welcome offer.

The Highest-Ever Chase Sapphire Preferred Bonus Is Back

The Chase Sapphire Preferred card has long been one of my favorite travel rewards cards thanks to its valuable roster of airline and hotel transfer partners and its reasonable $95 annual fee.

Now, Chase is offering its highest-ever publicly available welcome bonus offer on the card: 100,000 Ultimate Rewards points. That’s a massive haul of points from a single credit card welcome offer and enough to unlock some truly memorable travel experiences.

The examples below show exactly how I would think about maximizing a 100,000-point balance. We value Chase Ultimate Rewards points at 2 cents each, meaning that is worth at least $2,000 in travel. However, many of the redemptions below can deliver significantly more value.

From premium cabin flights to luxury hotel stays and family vacations abroad, these are some of my favorite ways to maximize this record-high 100,000-point welcome offer from the Chase Sapphire Preferred card.

Chase Ultimate Rewards

1. Sip Champagne on the Way to Paris ($3,000 Value)

One of the first places I would look for outsized value is Air France-KLM’s Flying Blue loyalty program. It frequently offers business class awards flying Air France and KLM between the U.S. and Europe at excellent rates.

On many dates, I’ve found one-way business class award flights from the U.S. to Paris (CDG) for around 60,000 miles each way.

Meanwhile, the same seats often sell for $3,000 in cash or more.

Redemptions like this are why I love earning transferable points. A single welcome offer could get you to Europe in a lie-flat seat and still leave you with 40,000 points to put toward another trip.

Hot Tip:

Flying Blue, the loyalty program of Air France and KLM, is a 1:1 transfer partner of Chase Ultimate Rewards. Before moving points, use our Transfer Partner Tool to compare transfer ratios and explore other Chase airline and hotel partners.

2. Cross the Atlantic in SWISS Business Class for Less ($3,000 Value)

Another one of my favorite ways to fly to Europe using points is SWISS business class booked through Air Canada Aeroplan. In fact, I recently flew SWISS business class in one of the airline’s coveted throne seats and found it to be spacious and comfortable, with solid food and friendly service throughout the flight.

The best part is that you don’t have to spend a fortune in points to enjoy the experience. Depending on the route and availability, SWISS business class flights between North America and Europe can often be booked for around 60,000 to 70,000 Aeroplan points each way with very low taxes and fees.

Meanwhile, cash fares frequently exceed $3,000, making this another excellent way to get great value from a Chase Sapphire Preferred card welcome bonus.

I’d rather redeem 60,000 points than spend $3,000+. Image Credit: SWISS

For me, this is one of the sweetest spots for getting to Europe in a lie-flat seat without draining your entire points balance.

3. Make Taipei Your Gateway to Asia ($3,000 Value)

Taiwan is one of the best jumping-off points to the rest of Asia, giving you easy access to destinations like Japan, South Korea, Thailand, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong, and mainland China.

One of my favorite ways to get there is by leveraging the partnership between Flying Blue and China Airlines. Since both airlines are members of the SkyTeam alliance, you can redeem Flying Blue miles for China Airlines flights — and the pricing can be shockingly good.

You can find one-way business-class awards from the U.S. to Taipei (TPE) for as little as 67,000 Flying Blue miles.

That’s an incredible value considering what you’re getting. China Airlines offers a modern lie-flat business-class seat, elevated dining, and the carrier’s signature Taiwanese hospitality. It’s a premium experience that often flies under the radar compared to other Asian airlines.

The best part? These same one-way flights frequently cost $3,000 or more in cash, making this one of the strongest premium-cabin redemptions available with Chase Ultimate Rewards points.

4. Check Into One of New York City’s Most Luxurious Hotels ($2,000 Value)

Not all great redemptions happen in the air. Whenever I want to show someone the power of World of Hyatt points, I point them to the Park Hyatt New York. The hotel’s location near Central Park, spacious accommodations, and luxury amenities make it the kind of place many travelers would hesitate to book with cash but gladly secure using points.

This 5-star property routinely commands nightly rates north of $1,000 throughout the year, making it one of the most consistently expensive points hotels in Hyatt’s portfolio.

With award nights starting at 35,000 Hyatt points, a 100,000-point welcome bonus is enough for a 2-night weekend stay that costs just 70,000 points.

Since a weekend here typically runs well over $2,000 in cash any time of year, you’d walk away with exceptional value and still have 30,000 Hyatt points left for your next trip.

Hot Tip:

If there’s one Chase transfer partner worth learning, it’s World of Hyatt. The program consistently offers some of the best redemption values in travel, especially at luxury hotels. Check out our guide to the 24 Best Ways To Redeem World of Hyatt Points for Maximum Value.

5. See What All the Qsuite Hype Is About ($5,000 Value)

Whenever someone asks me what I consider an aspirational redemption with Chase Ultimate Rewards, Qatar Airways‘ Qsuite is near the top of my list.

Widely considered the world’s best business class, Qsuite features closing privacy doors, an exceptionally comfortable lie-flat bed, and service that makes long-haul flying something to look forward to. Better yet, you can fly from the U.S. to Doha (DOH) for just 70,000 Avios one-way.

Qsuites companion
It’s hard to top Qsuite for just 70,000 points. Image Credit: Qatar Airways

If you already have some Chase points saved up — or your travel companion has points of their own — reaching the 140,000 Avios needed for 2 passengers is often within reach. Award space for multiple travelers to experience Qsuites together can be surprisingly good, making this a realistic bucket-list experience for couples and travel partners.

I redeemed 70,000 American AAdvantage miles to book Qatar’s Qsuites between the U.S. and the Middle East.

If you aren’t eyeing a trip to Doha or the Middle East, that’s a nonissue. Qatar Airways flies throughout the Middle East, Africa, and Asia, allowing you to continue on to places like the Maldives, South Africa, Thailand, or the Seychelles for relatively few additional Avios.

Considering these same flights often sell for $5,000 or more, this is one of the best ways to turn Chase points into a truly aspirational travel experience.

6. Settle Into a Polaris Seat Bound for Europe ($2,500 Value)

United Polaris continues to be one of the most recognizable business class products flying between the U.S. and Europe.

While one-way cash prices routinely start around $2,500, award rates often begin at just 80,000 United MileagePlus miles one-way.

The appeal of this redemption isn’t just the value of the flight itself. On the ground, the experience starts strong with access to United’s Polaris lounges, featuring sit-down dining, craft cocktails, and plenty of space to relax before settling into a comfortable lie-flat seat.

The Polaris lounge is a destination in its own right. Image Credit: Nick Ellis

By transferring just 80,000 of the 100,000 points from a Chase Sapphire Preferred card’s welcome offer bonus to United, you can enjoy a complete premium travel experience — from the Polaris lounge to a lie-flat seat across the Atlantic — while still having points left over for your next redemption.

7. Take the Whole Crew Across the Pond ($2,000 Value)

Not every great redemption has to involve a lie-flat seat.

In fact, if you’re traveling with a spouse and kids, stretching your points across multiple tickets can often deliver even more value than splurging on a single business-class award. Despite Virgin Atlantic drastically increasing fees on award flights from the U.S. to London (LHR) recently, Virgin Atlantic Flying Club still offers some of the cheapest ways to get to Europe using points.

Virgin Atlantic Economy Seating
I love Virgin’s mood lighting almost as much as its incredibly low awards. Image Credit: Juan Ruiz

You can regularly find economy awards starting at 6,000 points one-way, premium economy from 10,500 points, and even Virgin Atlantic’s Upper Class business class from as little as 29,000 points.

Virgin atlantic award pricing all cabins
It’s hard to beat Europe for 6,000 points and $163. Image Credit: Virgin Atlantic

For instance, in the itinerary above, that same Virgin Atlantic flight would cost $325 per person in Economy Light if booked with cash, as you can see below.

virgin cash pricing
Sometimes multiple economy awards beat a single business-class seat. Image Credit: Virgin Atlantic

If you wanted to take the entire family to London, you could transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards points to Virgin at a 1:1 ratio and book up to 16 people for 6,000 points each one-way, assuming award space is available. Paying cash for those same 16 tickets would cost a whopping $5,200!

As someone who often travels with family in tow, I love redemptions like these because they show that Chase Ultimate Rewards points aren’t just for luxury travel. They can make a European vacation way more affordable, saving thousands of dollars over paying cash.

Hot Tip:

Virgin Atlantic’s award surcharges aren’t exactly fun to pay, but at least you can earn 2x Ultimate Rewards points when you charge them to your Chase Sapphire Preferred card. Better yet, the card includes excellent trip delay, trip cancellation, and baggage protections should your travel plans go sideways.

8. Escape to California’s Most Coveted Hyatt Retreat ($2,000 Value)

Among points enthusiasts, few hotels generate as much excitement as Alila Ventana Big Sur. Nestled along California’s rugged coastline, this adults-only resort has become one of the most sought-after Hyatt redemptions in the world.

Ventana Big Sur pool hotel grounds
Few Hyatt awards are as coveted as Alila Ventana Big Sur. Image Credit: Hyatt

Cash rates regularly exceed $2,000 per night and can climb substantially higher during peak travel periods.

Cash rates alila big sur
Cash rates here rarely dip below $2,000 per night, making Hyatt points especially valuable. Image Credit: Hyatt

Award space at this property can be tough to come by, but persistence often pays off. During my search, the lowest rate I found was 65,000 Hyatt points per night near the end of Hyatt’s booking calendar. While that’s certainly not cheap, it’s much better than paying astronomical cash rates.

Alila Big Sur
Only 65,000 points unlock an all-inclusive Big Sur escape. Image Credit: Hyatt

This is about as aspirational as Hyatt redemptions get. Even if your 100,000-point Chase Sapphire Preferred card’s welcome offer bonus only covers a single night, you’re still saving more than $2,000 out of pocket. And if you already have some Hyatt points stashed away, you could combine them with your welcome offer to get a 2-night stay at one of the most coveted hotels in the world.

Final Thoughts

The Chase Sapphire Preferred card’s highest-ever 100,000-point welcome offer bonus is worth at least $2,000, based on our valuation of Chase Ultimate Rewards points. But as these examples demonstrate, that’s really just the starting point.

Whether you’re sipping Champagne on the way to Paris, checking into the Park Hyatt New York, flying China Airlines business class to Taipei, or taking the entire family to London, a single welcome offer can unlock travel experiences worth far more than their face value.
