There’s a lot happening in the world of Hilton Honors.

This major hotel chain has worked overtime to open new hotels, launch brands spanning from lifestyle to luxury, and introduce new partnerships in its portfolio.

What exactly does all of this mean for Hilton Honors members? The hotel chain shared the behind-the-scenes of its latest brands and partnerships with Upgraded Points, from its Small Luxury Hotels (SLH) integration to Autocamp glamping experiences.

Ultimately, Hilton says these strategic moves are meant to empower guests to redeem their points for aspirational properties and experiences of their liking.

Whether it’s awe-inspiring properties in seemingly impossible corners of the world or the chance to meet and greet with some of your idols, Hilton Honors members can get clued into everything that’s new.

More Promotions Than Ever To Earn Points

Ever wonder why your local Hampton Inn is charging well over 300,000 points for a night you need to book?

That’s due to dynamic pricing, which has been in place for well over a decade since Hilton Honors removed award charts. Whether for a concert or a local event, the number of points required is now correlated to the demand for travel on a given day.

However, variable award pricing is the reality of most loyalty programs, whether it’s airlines or hotels. The good news? Hilton Honors is among the most rewarding programs, handing out plenty of promotions and credit card perks.

Case in point: all guests can register now to earn double the points on Hilton Honors stays between May 2 and September 2. This is an excellent offering ahead of the peak summer travel period, rewarding members with extra bonus points for stays at thousands of properties.

Frequently throughout the year — and currently at the time of writing — you can purchase Hilton points at a 50% discount. That brings the cost down to just 0.5 cents per point, which is on par with our valuations. So, you’ll want to do the math and see if redeeming points is a better option than paying cash for your next stay.

Over the past few months, Hilton has refreshed its lineup of co-branded credit cards with money-saving credits and perks. Cardholders of the Hilton Honors American Express Surpass® Card and Hilton Honors American Express Aspire Card can earn up to 14x points on Hilton properties and elite status — which, in turn, helps them earn more points when they stay with the chain.

Hot Tip:

Even when you’re not traveling, you can earn Hilton points on Lyft rides or at thousands of restaurants worldwide via its Hilton Honors dining program. In essence, your next hotel night is much closer in reach than you might think since there are more ways than ever to rack up the points.

Earn and Redeem Points at Hilton’s New Brands and Partners

There are 22 Hilton brands in total, some more recently launched than others.

Upgraded Points got to tour a slew of hotels from many of these newer brands in Nashville, where Hilton has over 3 dozen properties. Hilton emphasized that each brand provides a distinct value proposition, ensuring a tailored stay for every traveler, whether for an event or an upcoming trip.

For instance, you might want to book a Graduate Hotel for a commencement ceremony, a Canopy by Hilton Hotel for a boutique feel in a local neighborhood spot, or a Home2Suites for a stay conducive to remote work.

The addition of new hotels, no matter where you turn, means more opportunities to earn and redeem properties worldwide.

Not to mention, the chain has forged many partnerships, including AutoCamp, Graduate Hotels, NoMad properties, and Small Luxury Hotels of the World. They will all participate in the Hilton Honors program, just like all the other brands, though we’re awaiting the fine details of each partnership that will be coming soon.

This is great news for Hilton Honors members who are looking to earn and redeem points at these hotels and leverage benefits like free night certificates and the fifth award night free. Those with Hilton elite status can look forward to benefits like complimentary breakfast and possible room upgrades at these properties, if available.

Finally, one area where the program will continue to grow is its Hilton Honors Experiences platform. Members can bid on packages to VIP experiences, whether that’s a meet-and-greet with Travis Kelce or attending the Canadian Grand Prix with Hilton’s unique partnership with F1.

While it seems like an untraditional way to redeem points, Hilton says many members are taking part as they drum up new packages and experiences to give to guests.

Final Thoughts

It pays to be loyal to Hilton Honors, as the program has taken several measures recently to make your stays more rewarding. The chain has worked hard to add new properties (and partnerships) that will surely appeal to travelers who like the lap of luxury and others who need somewhere modern yet affordable for an extended period.
