La Concha Leaves Renaissance Brand, Joins Autograph Collection

La Concha Resort, a historic resort situated along San Juan’s beaches, has now reopened to guests as La Concha Resort, Puerto Rico, an Autograph Collection Hotel.

As part of the rebrand, the hotel underwent a complete renovation, and the 238 rooms and suites in the Suite Tower were completely redesigned. These now feature residential-style bathrooms, private balconies, and floor-to-ceiling windows.

Amenities include a lobby bar, a spa, 3 restaurants and bars, and a pool, all of which have undergone renovations.

This is Marriott’s first Autograph Collection hotel in Puerto Rico. The Autograph Collection is a portfolio of over 300 hand-selected properties worldwide, known for their unique design and facilitating authentic experiences.

Despite its rebranding to an Autograph Collection property, La Concha will still fall under Marriott’s premium umbrella, the same place it was when it was a Renaissance hotel.

“La Concha Resort’s transformation and debut as the first Autograph Collection hotel on the island is a testament to the destination’s growing appeal,” said Brian King, President, Marriott International, Caribbean and Latin America. “This iconic property embodies the spirit of individuality and local culture that defines the Autograph Collection.”

How To Book

Rates at La Concha start at around $360 per night. The hotel is running several promotions, including “The Ultimate Unveiling Package,” which includes a $1,000 hotel credit, 65,000 bonus Marriott Bonvoy points, a 5-star dinner, and more for select bookings. This offer is available between June 15, 2025, and October 1, 2025.

Like many resorts in the Caribbean, the award rates here are pretty competitive. We’re seeing rates as low as 46,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night — which means you could use a free night certificate here, if you have one.

If you’re running low on points, it’s easy to earn Marriott Bonvoy points. You can transfer points from American Express Membership RewardsBilt Rewards, and Chase Ultimate Rewards to Marriott at a 1:1 ratio. And sometimes, issuers will offer limited-time transfer bonuses.

Hot Tip:

If you’re a Marriott loyalist, you can’t go wrong with having one of the best Marriott Bonvoy credit cards in your wallet. Aside from offering generous welcome bonuses, these cards also come with perks like elite status, property credits, and more.

Final Thoughts

La Concha Resort, an iconic hotel in San Juan, got some timely updates and has now joined the Autograph Collection. In addition to the Suite Tower renovation, the hotel revamped its common areas, including the lobby and dining outposts. Even better, the resort is pretty affordable with Marriott Bonvoy points!
