The Transportation Security Administration (TSA) announced on August 28, 2023, that 4 airlines — Cayman Airways, French Bee, Titan Air, and Zipair — would join the TSA PreCheck program.

Let’s take a look at this exciting news!

4 International Airlines Join TSA PreCheck

There are many benefits to having TSA PreCheck, but the most significant is being able to leave your shoes on when passing through the security checkpoint. Other benefits include the ability to leave on light outerwear, jackets, and belts, and keeping laptops and small liquids in your bag.

TSA PreCheck members travelers on the 4 aforementioned airlines will now receive PreCheck benefits when their Known Traveler Number (KTN) is applied to their reservation.

With the announcement of this news, the TSA says 90 airlines have now joined the program.

Bottom Line:

TSA PreCheck is one of 5 of the Trusted Traveler Programs, the others being Global EntrySENTRI, and NEXUS. The first 4 are intended for personal and business travelers, while the fifth program is for commercial trucking (FAST).

Today, you’ll find more than 200 airports in the U.S. participating in TSA PreCheck.

How To Get TSA PreCheck

If you’re a frequent (or infrequent) traveler, you should have a TSA PreCheck membership. Once you’re approved, your membership will be active for 5 years.

To apply for a TSA PreCheck membership, you’ll submit a $78 application fee if applying through IDEMIA ($70 if you’re renewing online). While that may not seem like much money, there are ways to save on your application fee — the easiest of which is using a credit card that will reimburse the application fee for TSA PreCheck.

Here are a few of our favorite cards that offer complimentary Global Entry and TSA PreCheck (enrollment required, terms and conditions may apply):

Final Thoughts

This is great news for travelers on Cayman Airways, French Bee, Titan Air, and Zipair who will now have access to expedited security screening when traveling from the U.S. We hope to see even more airlines join in the near future!
