United credit card holders who are looking to boost their miles balance are in luck. Through the Chase and MileagePlus “Elevate Your Rewards” promotion, you can choose from 3 offers if you have an eligible United card and meet a spending requirement for the offer between October 1 and December 31, 2024.

Let’s break down the details.

‘Elevate Your Rewards’ Promotion Details

As a United credit card holder, you can register for the promotion here. This page requires you to provide the last 4 digits of your credit card and MileagePlus number. If your card qualifies for the promotion, the next page will give you 3 options to choose from.

An Upgraded Points team member was targeted to choose between the following 3 offers:

  • Earn 1,000 bonus miles when you spend $1,000
  • Earn 7,500 bonus miles when you spend $5,000
  • Earn 18,000 bonus miles when you spend $9,000

Once you make a selection, you should receive an email confirming the details. Further, all miles you earn for this promotion are in addition to the miles you’d normally earn from your card spend.

Of course, you might be targeted for a different offer. Other offers we’ve seen accounts targeted for include:

  • Earn 700 miles when you spend $500
  • Earn 3,300 miles when you spend $1,500
  • Earn 7,500 miles when you spend $2,500
  • Earn 11,000 miles when you spend $11,000
  • Earn 26,200 miles when you spend $17,500
  • Earn 48,000 miles when you spend $24,000

You’ll have to decide which offer is best for you. You must register and select your bonus reward offer by December 15, 2024. After registering, each qualifying purchase you make before the end date of December 31, 2024, will apply toward the spending requirement.

Bottom Line:

You should see up to 3 offers, and you’ll choose the offer that’s best for you. The offers you see can vary from what other people see.

What Cards Are Eligible?

The promotion’s terms and conditions do not specify which United credit cards are eligible for the promotion, but if you hold any cobranded United credit card, including business cards, chances are you qualify. If you have any of the following cards, you should check if your account is eligible:

Final Thoughts

While we usually don’t recommend putting everyday spending on a United credit card — compared to our other favorite travel credit cards — if you’re looking to boost your balance of United miles, or are looking to earn extra Premier Qualifying Points (PQPs), this promotion could come in handy for you.

There’s no reason not to register for the “Elevate Your Rewards” promotion. If you don’t meet the spending requirement, you don’t lose anything. If you do hit it, you get your reward. And anyone who uses points or miles knows that a reward is never worth passing up if you’re going to spend the money anyway.

The information regarding the United Club℠ Business Card was independently collected by Upgraded Points and not provided nor reviewed by the issuer.

About Kathryn Schroeder

From credit cards to high-yield savings accounts, debt management and avoidance, CDs, and insurance, Kathryn has or does edit it all, and more. Just don’t expect her to always be at home while working. All she needs is four things — her computer, phone, passport, and wallet — and she can get her work done from anywhere. She does pack clothes, of course, but they’re easily replaceable if anything goes amiss (and she has baggage insurance with two of her credit cards).
