If you’ve been wondering whether to sign up for a Walmart+ membership, now may be the right time, especially since it is 50% off for a limited time!

With Black Friday and the holidays right around the corner, this could be a great way to save some cash.

Here’s what to know and how to sign up for the deal.

Walmart+ 50% Off Membership Offer Details

Walmart is offering its Walmart+ paid membership service for 50% off from now through December 2, 2024, at 11:59 p.m. ET.

That means you will be able to pay $49 instead of the usual fee of $98. Note that this offer is unavailable to current paid or trial members.

If you aren’t familiar, Walmart+ is the big-box retailer’s delivery subscription service. Members who sign up get perks such as free item delivery with no order minimum on same-day and 2-day purchases, on-demand grocery delivery, and 10¢ off per gallon on fuel at Walmart and select gas stations.

Other Walmart+ perks include:

  • Select prescriptions for as little as $0 and save up to 85% on thousands more at Walmart pharmacies
  • Access to “Scan & go” contact-free checkout
  • Early access to special promotions and events, including online Black Friday deals, product releases, and more
  • Free Paramount+ membership
  • Free online pet care with Pawp
  • 25% off Burger King and a free Whopper every 3 months
Hot Tip:

Walmart+ members get early access to the Black Friday Deals starting November 11 at 12 p.m. ET.

While a membership typically costs $98 per year, cardholders of The Platinum Card® from American Express and American Express® Business Gold Card receive the cost of a $12.95 monthly Walmart+ membership as a statement credit (upon enrollment).

In addition to the Walmart+ credit, Amex Platinum cardholders can enroll in statement credits for digital entertainment purchases (up to $240), up to $200 Uber Cash credit, and a prepaid hotel credit of up to $200 (and there are even more benefits and credits!).

The Amex Business Gold card’s most recent refresh also includes a statement credit of up to $240 back annually ($20 a month) for eligible purchases at FedExGrubhub, and office supply stores (enrollment required).

Hot Tip: If you haven’t already done so, you can enroll at the Walmart+ and Amex Platinum card landing page or Walmart+ and Amex Business Gold card landing page!

Final Thoughts

If you aren’t a Walmart+ member, there is no better time to sign up than right now. A Walmart+ membership for $49 is a great deal, and if you have an Amex Platinum card, the charge can be wiped off entirely. If you’re interested, make sure to sign up for the deal before it expires on December 2!
