Wells Fargo Rewards has added a new airline partner, which could be a welcome boost for travelers. The bank has added JetBlue TrueBlue as a new 1:1 airline transfer partner, providing cardholders with another way to redeem points for flights.

If you hold a Wells Fargo card that earns transfer-eligible rewards, here’s what this new partnership means and how to make the most of it.

JetBlue Joins Wells Fargo as a 1:1 Transfer Partner

JetBlue is now officially the seventh airline transfer partner in the Wells Fargo Rewards program, and it’s joining with a 1:1 transfer ratio.

In other words, if you hold a card that earns Wells Fargo Rewards points, you can now transfer them to the JetBlue TrueBlue program at a favorable rate.

This addition also comes at a very interesting time for JetBlue. The airline recently rolled out its new Blue Sky partnership with United Airlines, which enables TrueBlue members to redeem points for select United-operated flights.

By transferring Wells Fargo Rewards points to JetBlue’s TrueBlue program, cardholders can leverage the networks of both airlines. JetBlue is especially strong in leisure-focused markets like Florida and the Caribbean, while United has a vast network that touches every corner of the planet.

Wells Fargo’s transfer ecosystem is still smaller than what you’ll find with issuers like American Express or Chase, but it is becoming more useful. It also currently offers 1 hotel transfer option, Choice Privileges, which converts at a 1:2 ratio, making it easy to accrue points quickly for hotel stays, especially in the U.S. and Europe.

Hot Tip:

It’s pretty easy to earn JetBlue TrueBlue points, as you can transfer points from American Express Membership Rewards, Capital One miles, Chase Ultimate Rewards, or Citi ThankYou Points, and now Wells Fargo Rewards.

Final Thoughts

JetBlue’s addition to the Wells Fargo Rewards transfer lineup is good news for anyone with a credit card that earns Wells Fargo Rewards points. Thanks to the Blue Sky partnership, Wells Fargo points are getting more useful as they open up redemption opportunities on both JetBlue and many United flights.

We’re always glad to see bank rewards programs expand their travel transfer options, and this is a useful addition for Wells Fargo cardholders. Even with a smaller partner lineup overall, having more ways to redeem points for flights makes the program more traveler-friendly.
