It is ridiculous to avoid row 1 on the A380 because of the lavatories. It’s still a way to go (literally) from row 1 to these. How many pax would use the lavatories? At max 4, makes 3 other people if First Class was fully booked, which is hardly the case. No reason to avoid the best seats in this beautiful First Class!

Hi Butzi. You are certainly correct that there is no bad seat in First Class on the A380. If there were 2 seats left, however, one in row 1 and 1 near the galley, one may prefer to be close to the galley versus the restroom as mentioned in the article. Personally, I wouldn’t care. I’ve sat in that first row and it was awesome. Thank you for weighing in and making the case that any seat in that section is a good seat and the lavatory is not an issue.

I was excited to find the information in your post about Lufthansa’s 747s as I’m planning on an upcoming flight from the US to Frankfurt or Munich, but am concerned some of these routes you mention have been discontinued or are now serviced by other models. Could you post an update or let me know what routes still have 747s?

Hi George,
Unfortunately, the reality is that Lufthansa performs aircraft swaps so often and there is often no good way to predict these changes, as they’re due to operational demands.
If you need to know, you can always search your flight number on Flightaware and find out what aircraft are being flown on a specific route.

Completely out of date information. I know you want to revive old articles to keep them at the top of the search engines for your links to be clicked, but either do the research and writing required or don’t state updated unless it’s actually updated. Inaccurate info and a complete waste of time.

Hey Curt,
Thanks for your feedback.
As you know, COVID-19 has totally thrown a wrench into airline operations. To be honest, some of these routes will be suspended entirely, and entire hordes of aircraft are being retired.
When the global situation stabilizes, we plan on updating all our direct routes pieces.
Until then, it’s hard to do the research when the airlines themselves are frequently performing last-minute aircraft swaps themselves!

Thanks for the info! We’re booked on a 747-800 from SFO-FRA at the end of Aug and it’s great to see all the info in one place.

Stephen,
We are traveling Premium Economy A330. We are booked in row 15A & C, but because of an oxygen concentrator think we should change it to another row. Since we need to store it. Is there enough room under the seat for that? What do you think?

Hi T. Herbert,
This is a difficult question to answer. The underseat storage is pretty much going to be the same except at bulkhead seats. So as long as you avoid bulkhead seats in premium economy, you’ll have the same amount of underseat storage.

Love this comprehensive list. When will Lufthansa update what routes the new Allegris first class product will be on? Planning a trip in June, and would like to try it out.
