Blue Cash Everyday Card — Is It Worth It?

Put simply, the Blue Cash Everyday card is a top-notch card option for anyone who is looking to start earning cash-back on purchases.

Not only does the card offer 3 great bonus categories for you to earn additional cash-back on, but it also offers purchase protection to help keep all of those items covered in case anything goes wrong.

Blue Cash Everyday Card Top Benefits

Annual Statement Credits

The Blue Cash Everyday card is living up to its name by offering statement credits for everyday household purchases:

  • $7 back monthly after using your Blue Cash Everyday card to spend $9.99 or more each month on an eligible subscription to The Disney Bundle, which includes Disney+, Hulu, and ESPN+. Enrollment required. Valid only at DisneyPlus.com, Hulu.com, or Plus.espn.com in the U.S.
  • Earn up to $15 back monthly – an annual savings of up to $180 – when you order online at Home Chef. Enrollment required.

Car Rental Coverage

The Blue Cash Everyday card provides secondary car rental insurance, so you’ll be covered for any damage or theft to most rental cars (excluding luxury vehicles). However, it is secondary rental coverage, meaning coverage only kicks in for anything that your primary insurance provider won’t cover.

Purchase Protection

When you purchase an item with your card and the item is accidentally damaged, stolen, or lost, you can have the item replaced or reimbursed for up to 90 days from the purchase date. This benefit offers coverage up to $1,000 per item and $50,000 per calendar year.

Best Ways To Earn and Redeem Cash-Back Rewards

When it comes to earning as much cash-back as possible, use your card on purchases in the card’s 3 major bonus categories: U.S. supermarkets, U.S. gas stations, and U.S. online retail purchases

Of course, you’ll still earn 1% cash-back for all purchases outside of these categories as well (and once you’ve hit the cap on each category) — which can really add up from month to month!

Once you’re ready to redeem, you can get a statement credit to offset your previous purchases — your only redemption option.

While there is no limit to the amount of cash-back rewards you can earn each year, you must earn at least $25 in cash-back rewards before you’re able to redeem them.
