The World of Hyatt loyalty program allows members to book award stays at Hyatt hotels around the world. It has been a tremendously popular program among miles and points enthusiasts because of its reasonable redemption rates and some fantastic properties.
The World of Hyatt Credit Card by Chase provides a great way to earn World of Hyatt points and offers several perks to improve your travel experience. Let’s take a look at what this card has to offer.
Hyatt might not have as many properties as Hilton or Marriott, but there are many reasons why you might want to get the World of Hyatt card.
Here’s the latest bonus information for the World of Hyatt card:
The World of Hyatt card offers a fast track to Hyatt elite status, an annual free night, and up to 9x points per $1 on Hyatt stays.
The World of Hyatt Credit Card makes your Hyatt stays more rewarding and helps you get coveted World of Hyatt elite status faster. This card is a must-have for any traveler who regularly stays at Hyatt hotels, or even for anyone who’s able to take advantage of the card’s annual free night certificate.
When you factor in all the benefits the World of Hyatt card offers, it’s easy to see why it is one of the best co-branded hotel credit cards on the market.
When you use the World of Hyatt card, you will earn 9x points at Hyatt hotels, including restaurants and spas, that can then be used to book award stays at Hyatt brands such as Grand Hyatt, Park Hyatt, and Andaz Hotels — even luxury properties.
You’ll also earn 2x points on purchases at restaurants, flights (purchased directly from the airline), fitness clubs and gym memberships, and local transit and rideshare purchases. All other purchases will earn 1x point per dollar spent.Hot Tip:

Every year you have the card, you will receive an annual free night certificate after your account anniversary. These certificates can be redeemed at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel or resort in the Hyatt portfolio.
Hyatt has some fantastic Category 4 hotels from which to choose, so you won’t have any problems finding a fun way to use your annual free night certificate. For example, you could visit Cambodia and stay at the Park Hyatt Siem Reap or visit Melbourne, Australia, and stay at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne.

In addition, cardholders will receive complimentary Discoverist status in the World of Hyatt program as long as they keep the card open. Discoverist status can also be earned by staying 10 qualifying nights at Hyatt properties or earning 25,000 base points.
As a Discoverist, you will earn 5x points with Hyatt, plus a 10% bonus, for a total of 5.5x points. Hyatt Discoverist status includes benefits like 2 p.m. late checkout, preferred room upgrades, and elite check-in.
The World of Hyatt card boosts you towards achieving higher levels of elite status each year by starting you out with 5 elite night credits just for being a cardholder.
The World of Hyatt program has 3 elite status tiers: Discoverist, Explorist, and Globalist. All World of Hyatt cardholders receive automatic Discoverist status, while Explorist status and Globalist status require 30 elite nights and 60 elite nights, respectively.
Thanks to the 5 elite night credits from your World of Hyatt card, you’ll actually need just 25 elite nights each year to reach Explorist status and 55 elite nights to reach Globalist status.
As if the 5 annual elite night credits weren’t enough, the World of Hyatt card also gives you 2 elite night credits for every $5,000 you spend on the card. This means you can effectively spend your way to higher levels of Hyatt elite status without staying in Hyatt hotels.
Consider an example where a cardholder spends $20,000 on their World of Hyatt card throughout the year, about $1,667 a month, from a combination of Hyatt stays and their everyday purchases. This amount of spend would earn them 8 elite night credits, which, combined with the 5 elite night credits you receive for holding the card, brings you to 13 elite night credits.
With 13 elite night credits in tow, this brings the number of elite nights needed through actual Hyatt stays down to 17 nights for Explorist status and 47 nights for Globalist status. Put simply, the World of Hyatt card makes achieving higher levels of elite status much easier.
Want to earn an extra free night certificate? The World of Hyatt card allows you to do just that when you spend $15,000 on your card in a calendar year, and just like the free night certificate that comes with the card, it can be redeemed at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel or resort.
Like many credit cards provided by Chase, you have access to several travel protections with the World of Hyatt card.
Even when you’re not traveling, the World of Hyatt card can help ensure you can protect those purchases from some unfortunate circumstances.
No one wants to arrive at their destination only to discover their bags have been delayed. However, with the World of Hyatt card, you will be covered if your bags are delayed by at least 6 hours.
If this situation arises, Chase will reimburse you up to $100 daily for essentials (e.g., clothing and toiletries) for up to 5 days.
Even worse is when an airline loses your luggage and leaves you without any clothes for vacation or work meetings. With the lost luggage reimbursement benefit, Chase will cover you and any immediate family for lost luggage — whether it’s a carry-on or checked bag.
This benefit also covers damaged luggage and provides you and your immediate family with up to $3,000 in coverage.
If you have a vacation or work trip interrupted or canceled because of an illness, bad weather, or other situation as specified in the terms of the benefit, you could be eligible for reimbursement.
In these cases, you could be reimbursed for prepaid, non-refundable travel expenses up to $5,000 per person and up to $10,000 per trip.
With purchase protection, you can count on coverage against theft or damage to your new purchases for up to 120 days. You can file for up to $50,000 per account and up to $500 per claim.
For World of Hyatt loyalists, there is no better card to hold in your wallet than the World of Hyatt card. Using it will help you earn more World of Hyatt points each year, earn free night certificates, and reach higher levels of elite status within the World of Hyatt program.
You can then use your war chest of World of Hyatt points to book free nights at fantastic Hyatt hotels and enjoy those stays even more by receiving perks like late checkout and room upgrades thanks to your new Hyatt elite status.
The information regarding The World of Hyatt Credit Card was independently collected by Upgraded Points and not provided nor reviewed by the issuer.
No. Points earned with the World of Hyatt card can be redeemed for award stays, but they aren’t base points that help you earn status. However, every $5,000 you spend on the card will earn you 2 elite night credits toward your next elite status level.
You can transfer World of Hyatt points to airline partners, but the transfer rates are very poor. You’ll be better off using them to book award stays at Hyatt properties.
If you’re someone who visits Hyatt hotels at least a few times a year and you see the value in having World of Hyatt Discoverist status, an annual free night certificate, and all of the other benefits that the card offers, then yes, the World of Hyatt card is definitely worth having.
No set credit score will guarantee your approval for the World of Hyatt card. However, if you have a credit score higher than 700, 2 years or more of clean credit history, and are under the Chase 5/24 rule, you should feel good about your chances of being approved for the card.
World of Hyatt members receive free breakfast at select Hyatt-branded hotels, including Hyatt Place, Hyatt House, and the all-inclusive Hyatt Ziva, Hyatt Zilara, and Miraval properties.
Free breakfast is not included at any other Hyatt hotels unless you are a World of Hyatt Globalist member.
