The World of Hyatt loyalty program allows members to book award stays at Hyatt hotels around the world. It has been a tremendously popular program among miles and points enthusiasts because of its reasonable redemption rates and some amazing properties.
The World of Hyatt Credit Card provides a great way to earn World of Hyatt points and comes with a number of perks that can improve your travel experience. Let’s take a look at what this card has to offer.
World of Hyatt Benefits
Hyatt might not have as many properties as Hilton or Marriott, but there are a bunch of reasons why you might want to get the World of Hyatt card.
Here’s the latest bonus information for the World of Hyatt card:
1. Earn More World of Hyatt Points
When you use the World of Hyatt card, you will earn 4x points per $1 on every purchase at Hyatt hotels, including restaurants and spas, that can then be used to book award stays at Hyatt brands such as Grand Hyatt, Park Hyatt, and Andaz Hotels — even luxury properties.
You’ll also earn 2x points per $1 on purchases at restaurants, flights, fitness clubs and gym memberships, and transit purchases. All other purchases will earn 1x point per dollar spent.

These certificates can be redeemed at any Category 1-4 Hyatt hotel or resort in the Hyatt portfolio.
Hyatt has some fantastic Category 4 hotels from which to choose, so you won’t have any problems finding a fun way to use your annual free night certificate. For example, you could visit Cambodia and stay at the Park Hyatt Siem Reap, or visit Melbourne, Australia and stay at the Grand Hyatt Melbourne.

3. Complimentary Discoverist Status
In addition, cardholders will receive complimentary Discoverist status in the World of Hyatt program as long as they keep the card open. Discoverist status can also be earned by staying 10 qualifying nights at Hyatt properties or by earning 25,000 base points.
As a Discoverist, you will earn 5x points per dollar spent with Hyatt, plus a 10% bonus, for a total of 5.5x points per $1. Hyatt Discoverist status comes with benefits like 2 p.m. late checkout, preferred room upgrades, elite check-in, and MGM Rewards Pearl status.
4. Complimentary Elite Night Credits

The World of Hyatt program has 3 elite status tiers, Discoverist, Explorist, and Globalist. All World of Hyatt cardholders receive automatic Discoverist status, while Explorist status and Globalist status require 30 elite nights and 60 elite nights, respectively
Thanks to the 5 elite night credits from your World of Hyatt card, you’ll actually need just 25 elite nights each year to reach Explorist status and 55 elite nights to reach Globalist status.
5. Spend Your Way to Elite Status
As if the 5 annual elite night credits weren’t enough, the World of Hyatt card also gives you 2 elite night credits for every $5,000 you spend on the card. This means you can effectively spend your way to higher levels of Hyatt elite status without staying in Hyatt hotels.
Consider an example where a cardholder spends $20,000 on their World of Hyatt card throughout the year, about $1,667 a month, from a combination of Hyatt stays and their everyday purchases. This amount of spend would earn them 8 elite night credits, which, when combined with the 5 elite night credits you receive for holding the card, brings you to a total of 13 elite night credits.
With 13 elite night credits in tow, this brings the number of elite nights needed through actual Hyatt stays down to 17 nights for Explorist status, and 47 nights for Globalist status. Put simply, the World of Hyatt card makes achieving higher levels of elite status much easier.

Even when you’re not traveling, the World of Hyatt card can help ensure you’re able to protect those purchases from some unfortunate circumstances.
7. Baggage Delay Insurance
No one wants to arrive at their destination only to find out that their bags have been delayed. However, with the World of Hyatt card, you will be covered if your bags are delayed by at least 6 hours.
If this situation arises, Chase will reimburse you up to $100 per day for essentials (e.g., clothing and toiletries) for up to 5 days.

Even worse is when an airline loses your luggage and leaves you without any clothes for your vacation or work meetings. With the lost luggage reimbursement benefit, Chase will cover you and any immediate family for lost luggage — whether it’s a carry-on or checked bag.
This benefit also covers damaged luggage and provides you and your immediate family up to $3,000 in coverage.
9. Trip Interruption and Cancellation Insurance
If you have a vacation or work trip interrupted or canceled because of an illness, bad weather, or other situation as specified in the terms of the benefit, you could be eligible for reimbursement.
