If you’ve been waiting for an amazing offer on any of the Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards® credit cards, your wait is over. Chase just released limited-time offers of 60,000 Rapid Rewards® points on all 3 Southwest credit cards.

Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card

Occasionally, we see the sign-up bonus on these cards bumped up to 50,000 Rapid Rewards® points from the standard 40,000-point offer. However, this new 60,000-point offer is fantastic!

The annual fee for both the Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards® Premier Credit Card and the Chase Southwest Airlines Rapid Rewards® Premier Business Card is $99 and is not waived the first year.

Both of these cards also award a 6,000-point anniversary bonus each year you have the card.

The Chase Southwest Rapid Rewards® Plus Credit Card only has a $69 annual fee but incurs a foreign transaction fee when used abroad. The anniversary bonus for this card is 3,000 points.

Each card comes with a minimum spending requirement of $2,000 to earn the sign-up bonus. You must meet this spending threshold within 3 months to earn the bonus.

It’s a pretty straightforward way to earn a ton of points and get you on your way to earning the Southwest Companion Pass!

Hot Tip: If you have some bills that don’t accept credit cards and you need help hitting the minimum spending requirement, check out Plastiq.

Using the Companion Pass, you can fly with a designated friend or family member without paying for another ticket. In fact, you can book award tickets or cash tickets and bring a companion for just the taxes and fees.

To earn the Companion Pass, you’ll need to earn 110,000 Rapid Rewards® points during a calendar year. Usually, getting 2 of these Southwest cards with 50,000-point bonuses puts you just under the required qualifying points for the Companion Pass. That’s what makes these 60,000-point offers so special!

Earn 120,000 Rapid Rewards points from 2 sign-up bonuses, and you’ll also earn the Southwest Companion Pass!

For a limited-time, you can earn the Southwest Companion Pass just by earning the sign-up bonuses on 2 of these cards. By simply hitting the minimum spending level on both of these cards, you’ll earn 124,000 Rapid Rewards® points (120,000 from the bonuses and 4,000 from the minimum spending bonus).

We currently value Rapid Rewards® points at 1.3 cents per point, which means each sign-up bonus is worth $780 for Southwest flights. That alone makes this offer worth it, but the Companion Pass doubles that value to $1,560!

These points are even more valuable when you consider that all Southwest seats are available for award bookings regardless of date or flight. You can also transfer Chase Ultimate Rewards to your Southwest Rapid Rewards® account any time you need more points for a booking.

Additionally, all bookings can be changed or canceled at no extra cost. If you cancel a flight, you will receive a full refund of your points. This means you can cancel and rebook if you see that the award cost has dropped after you have booked your flights.

Your best bet is always to cancel and rebook if you need to change a flight. Why? If you change a flight, the changed booking becomes non-refundable. This might not cause any issues for you, but it’s better to leave yourself the option just in case!

Hot Tip: Always track the prices of your Southwest bookings so you can rebook if the price drops. If the fare drops, it’s a simple process to cancel and rebook your flights.

Another great benefit of flying with Southwest Airlines is getting 2 checked bags for free on every flight. This can mean huge savings if you’re flying with a companion.

Southwest has also been continually expanding its route network. You can fly to many cities in the U.S. as well as the Caribbean, Mexico, and Central America. They are also working on bringing flights to Hawaii in 2018, which would make the Companion Pass even more valuable.

It’s clear that this is a great offer that truly becomes amazing when you consider the value of the Companion Pass. But how do you know if either or both of these cards are right for you?

Right off the bat, we can’t forget the Chase 5/24 rule. While we wish this weren’t the case, if you’ve opened 5 or more cards in the past 24 months, you will not be eligible to get any of these cards.

Additionally, each of these cards is a separate product, so you can get more than one of them if you want—this is what makes getting the Companion Pass so easy! Just make sure you haven’t received the sign-up bonus from the same card in the last 24 months, which would make you ineligible for the bonus.

In an ideal world, you would earn the Companion Pass at the very beginning of the year since it’s valid for the remainder of the year in which you earn it plus the following year. Nearly 2 years with the Companion Pass is hard to beat.

These 60,000-point sign-up bonus offers allow you to get the Companion Pass without any additional spending—what an amazing deal! There are plenty of other ways to earn tons of Rapid Rewards® points, but if you want to earn the Companion Pass just by earning two sign-up bonuses, this is your chance!

Bottom Line: If you want the quickest path the Companion Pass or to boost your Rapid Rewards® account, you won’t find a better way than these limited-time 60,000-point offers!
