The Grand Hyatt brand has made its debut in Spain with the opening of the Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa.

Here’s what you need to know about the new resort.

Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa Now Open

The Grand Hyatt La Manga Club Golf & Spa is Spain’s first Grand Hyatt property and is part of the chain’s plans to add luxury properties in key European markets. The resort property is located in Murcia, Spain, roughly a 35-minute drive from Región de Murcia International Airport (RMU). The property features nearly 200 guest rooms, along with 6 suites and a 1,679-square-foot Royal Suite. Elsewhere, the resort offers 11 dining options, a nearly 14,000-square-foot event space, 3 18-hole golf courses, outdoor tennis facilities, a spa area, and 2 adults-only pools.

“The arrival of the Grand Hyatt brand in Spain via La Manga Club is undoubtedly an important step for our company and for the Spanish tourism sector as a whole,” said Jordi Ferrer, CEO of Grupo Inversor Hesperia, which owns the resort. “We are convinced that with this new hotel, distinguished by the exclusiveness of its services and location, we are going to offer unique experiences to our clients and generate new value for the Murcia Region.”

The Grand Hyatt brand is part of Hyatt’s Timeless Collection portfolio, which also includes Park Hyatt and Hyatt Regency. The Grand Hyatt La Manga becomes the first Grand Hyatt hotel to open in Spain and the fourth in Europe.

The decision to expand in Spain was a strategic one, the chain said. Hyatt said in a statement that increasing its luxury, lifestyle, and leisure offerings “is central to Hyatt’s plan to grow [its] brand presence across Europe.”

Another Grand Hyatt in Lanzarote, Spain, is scheduled to open for guests in 2025, and other properties in the region include Grand Hyatt Berlin, Grand Hyatt Athens, and Grand Hyatt Istanbul.

How To Book

This new Grand Hyatt participates in the World of Hyatt loyalty program, which means guests can earn and redeem points.

The hotel is a Category 4 property, so rates start at just 12,000 points per night for off-peak dates.

If you have a card that earns Chase Ultimate Rewards or Bilt Rewards points, you can transfer them to World of Hyatt at a 1:1 ratio.

Finally, if you’re low on World of Hyatt points, you can consider opening either The World of Hyatt Credit Card or World of Hyatt Business Credit Card, which offers bonus points as part of their welcome offers and additional points for making purchases with the cards in certain spending categories.

Hot Tip: Another way to book a stay at this hotel is by redeeming a Category 1-4 free night certificate. You can earn these certificates by completing a certain number of qualifying nights, participating in promotions, or simply having a Hyatt credit card.

Final Thoughts

This is exciting news, especially considering the new Grand Hyatt La Manga is reasonably priced when using World of Hyatt points. This will definitely become a sweet spot for Hyatt stays in Spain, so make sure to check your points balance or see if you have a free night certificate!
