Key Takeaways

  • Caesars Rewards members get tiered benefits depending on how they play and spend. Perks including free or discounted hotel stays, dining credits, and presale access to select shows.
  • You can earn and redeem points at Caesars and Eldorado resorts all over the world.
  • You get enhanced benefits like free show tickets, valet parking, priority check-in, a celebration dinner, and Laurel Lounge access when you have elite status.

If you’re a regular at the blackjack table or just like pulling slots, you may already be aware of the loyalty program for Caesars Resorts, Caesars Rewards (formerly Total Rewards). Though it’s best known for its casino resort on the Las Vegas Strip, you can find Caesars properties all over the country.

Among casino loyalty programs, Caesars Rewards is among the most rewarding, in large part because of its vast portfolio and perks such as annual free dinners and waived resort fees.

Let’s talk about what kind of elite status the program has, how to climb the tiers, and how to wring the most out of your benefits.

If you have Caesars Rewards status, you can use it at any Caesars property in the world. And since Eldorado bought Caesars in 2020, your status is also good at all Eldorado properties.

How Caesars Rewards Works

How To Join

It costs nothing to join the Caesars Rewards program, and it’s worth signing up before you go to any Caesars property even you don’t care about elite status. Any money you spend at Caesars earns Reward Credits.

Go to the Caesars Rewards home page, then click Sign In at the top right.

Hot Tip:

The minimum age for a Caesars Rewards account is 21, or 19 to visit Caesars Windsor.

Tier Credits

Your elite status depends on the number of Tier Credits you earn each calendar year. You receive these by spending on hotel rooms, shopping, dining, spa services, and gambling.

Caesars also gives you extra Tier Credits on daily spending:

Reward Credits

OK, now you know about Caesars Tier Credits, so let’s talk about Reward Credits, which are a different animal. Whereas Tier Credits are basically your status meter, determining what membership status you qualify for, Rewards Credits are the in-house currency you actually spend to get benefits.

Rewards Credits are generally easier to earn, since you generate them from more activities than Tier Credits. You can spend them on restaurants, hotel stays, shopping, or almost anything to do at a Caesars.

Your Reward Credits can be redeemed for free hotel stays at Harrah’s Resort Southern California. Image Credit: Harrah’s Resort Southern California

Caesars offers a fixed value for Reward Credits that depends on the specific redemption. Usually, 200 Reward Credits equals $1, though you can find ways to squeeze more out of them

Earning Reward Credits

Caesars has tons of ways to earn Reward Credits:

  • Hotels
  • Shopping
  • Dining
  • Spa services
  • Gambling
  • Caesars Rewards Dining
  • Using the Caesars Shopping Portal
  • Holding meetings at Caesars Resorts
  • Transferring in Wyndham Rewards points
  • Paying your energy bill with NRG Home
  • Completing guest surveys
  • Buying tickets to live events
  • Spending on Caesars co-branded credit cards

Redeeming Reward Credits

Again, Reward Credits can pay for lots of activities. Mostly, these are at Caesars properties, but the company has partnerships that can make them useful off Caesars property.

  • Free slot play
  • Online betting
  • Entry into the World Series of Poker
  • Hotel stays
  • Dining
  • Shopping
  • Show tickets
  • Spa services
  • Caesars Rewards Live Events — good for tickets to sporting events, concert tickets, and theater events nationwide
  • Caesars Rewards eCatalog — features a variety of items such as gift cards, electronics, and housewares
  • Transfers to Wyndham Rewards — Reward Credits transfer at a 1:1 ratio to Wyndham Rewards.

Maximizing Caesars Rewards Elite Status

For obvious reasons, the Caesars Rewards program seems primed for visits to Atlantic City and Las Vegas. But the benefits list is long and can feel confusing, especially as the benefits ramp up by what tier you are.

Here’s a closer look at maximizing the value of your elite perks.

Celebration Dinner

The Caesars Rewards Diamond celebration dinner, once called the Total Rewards Diamond Celebration Dinner, is a $100 annual credit for Diamond members. For Seven Stars members, it’s a $500 annual dinner credit. You can redeem these credits at most Caesars restaurants, including Las Vegas, Lake Tahoe, and Atlantic City, but you have to use them before January 31 each year. You must use all of the $100 Diamond elite celebration dinner at a single sitting, but you can use the $500 Seven Stars dinner in smaller amounts over several visits.

You don’t get these credits unless you have at least 100 Tier Credits.

Hot Tip:

You can get a $50 UberEats gift card instead of the $100 Celebration Dinner.

Laurel Lounge Access

Once you hit Diamond status, you can go to the Laurel Lounges, which are quieter VIP areas in some Caesars Resorts with free food and drinks.

Lowest-tier Diamond members have to pay 1,000 Reward Credits to use these lounges, but once you surpass that and get Diamond Plus, Diamond Elite, or Seven Stars status, the Laurel Lounges are free to enter. If you’re not a gambler, it can be a feat to rack up that many Reward Credits, so it may make sense to instead transfer 1,000 Wyndham points.

Status Matches

Caesars Rewards makes it easy to match your status with a couple other hotel chains.

  • Wyndham: Like we said, Caesars and Wyndham match their statuses indefinitely. If you want permanent elite status, this is a good way to accomplish that.
  • MGM Rewards: Members with Caesars Diamond can match to MGM Gold, while Caesars Diamond Elite and Seven Stars members can match to MGM Platinum. You can find details here.

Which Credit Cards Should You Use at Caesars?

Caesars credit cards images

Caesars Rewards Visa Signature®

The Caesars Rewards card earns Reward Credits that you can redeem at Caesars or its partners, and the card has no annual fee. With this card, you earn:

  • 10,000 Reward Credits and 250 Tier Credits when you spend $1,000 on purchases outside of Caesars in the first 90 days
  • 5 Reward Credits per $1 spent at Caesars Rewards locations
  • 2 Reward Credits per $1 spent dining, travel, and entertainment
  • 1 Reward Credit per $1 spent everywhere else

Reward Credits do not expire as long as you use your card at least every 6 months. Caesars usually values its own Reward Credits at 0.5 cents each, so you’d earn 2.5% back on your spending at Caesars. Moreover, the card offers a $15,000 Reward Credits bonus for $50,000 in annual purchases.

You also receive a bonus of 2,500 Tier Credits for each calendar year that you spend $5,000 or more on purchases. Additionally, you’re upgraded to Platinum for a year after making 1 purchase with your card within the first 90 days. But while Platinum status is nice, there are better ways to spend at Caesars Resorts.

Caesars Rewards Prestige Visa Signature®

The Caesars Rewards Prestige card is the more premium offering, and it comes with a $149 annual fee. With this card, you earn:

  • 20,000 Reward Credits and 2,500 Tier Credits when you spend $1,000 on purchases outside of Caesars in the first 90 days
  • 7 Reward Credits per $1 spent at Caesars Rewards locations
  • 2 Reward Credits per $1 spent dining, travel, and entertainment
  • 1 Reward Credit per $1 spent everywhere else

On top of a bonus of 2,500 Tier Credits for each calendar year in which you spend $5,000 or more on purchases, you can earn another 2,500 Tier Credits after making $10,000 in purchases in a calendar year and 15,000 Tier Credits after $50,000 in annual purchases. Moreover, the card offers $50 in slot play annually, a $100 dining credit annually, a complimentary hotel night (worth up to $300) annually, and 2,500 Tier credits when you make a purchase outside Caesars within 90 days of opening the account. It charges no cash advance or foreign transaction fees.

This card also offers the Platinum upgrade after your first purchase within 90 days of account opening.

So should you bet on the Caesars Rewards program? It offers seriously enticing rewards— especially for those who move up through the elite ranks. Members are entitled to some very generous perks worldwide.

As anyone into casino gaming knows, there’s no sure thing, but this program could definitely shift a few of the odds more in your favor.

Frequently Asked Questions

What casinos use Caesars Rewards?

You can find Caesars Resorts in numerous locations, but its most recognizable properties are those in Las Vegas, including Caesars Palace, Planet Hollywood, Horseshoe, Harrah’s, Flamingo, the Cromwell, and more.

What’s the difference between Tier Credits and Reward Credits?

Think of Tier Credits as your status meter — they decide what level of Caesars Rewards member you are (Gold, Platinum, Diamond, etc.). Reward Credits are more like your spending power. They’re what you use toward perks like hotel rooms, meals, shopping, etc. For every Tier Credit you earn, you also receive a corresponding Reward Credit, but Reward Credits are the currency you actually spend.

How do I earn Tier Credits?

Pretty much whenever you spend or play in a qualifying way. Slot machine play, video poker, table games, hotel stays (room and resort fees), dining, shopping in Caesars properties — all these trigger Tier Credit earnings. Some activities have a fixed rate (like $1 of hotel spending earns 1 Tier Credit), others depend on average bet, length of play, or type of game. There are also special promotions (Tier Credit bonuses) if you hit certain thresholds in a day.

What are the Caesars Rewards tier levels, and how many credits do I need to reach each one?

Here’s how the ladder works: Gold is from 0 to 4,999 Tier Credits. You reach Platinum at 5,000 Tier Credits, Diamond at 15,000, Diamond Plus at 25,000, Diamond Elite at 75,000, and Seven Stars at 150,000.

Do my Reward Credits or Tier Credits expire?

Yes — sort of. The Tier Score (your Tier Credits) resets to zero at the start of each calendar year (January 1), and your status lasts through the following January 31. Reward Credits (the spendable credits) can expire if there’s no activity in your account for 6 months. To avoid losing them, you just need to earn or redeem at least something in that window.

How do I redeem Reward Credits?

You redeem them just about anywhere Caesars accepts them: restaurants, shows, shops, hotel stays, and more. Sometimes, you just present your card, and other times you apply them during checkout. A Reward Credit equals one cent, making 100 credits worth $1. Use them to offset your bills, or pay for things outright if you have enough.
