Resorts World made its official debut on the Las Vegas Strip back in 2021, opening a massive complex consisting of 3 hotels, a concert venue, a club, a mall, and, of course, a casino.

The opening of this behemoth property was particularly exciting for award travelers, making for a new opportunity to earn and redeem Hilton Honors points in Las Vegas.

In November 2023, I had planned a visit to Resorts World with my boyfriend and his family for Katy Perry’s final residency concert at Resorts World. As a Hilton Honors Diamond member, my only decision from there was to choose which property to book: Hilton, Conrad, or Crockfords.

Needless to say, I decided to go all out and test whether Crockfords was really worth the high sticker price — when in Vegas.

Here are 5 things to know if you’re thinking about booking a stay at Crockfords Las Vegas, LXR Hotels & Resorts.

1. You Can Use a Combination of Points and Certificates

Since we were only in Las Vegas for 48 hours, we prioritized a hotel on the Las Vegas Strip to make our stay more convenient.

After all, there are more than 3,500 hotel rooms at Resorts World, making it one of the largest hotels in the U.S. Conveniently, all 3 hotels participate in the Hilton Honors loyalty program.

Here are the starting nightly award rates you can expect to find during standard dates:

While these rates are high, remember that it’s relatively easy to earn lots of Hilton Honors points.

For my 2-night booking, I used a combination of points and a free night reward to wipe out the cost of my hotel stay. Not to mention, Hilton waives resort fees on award bookings, so I saved myself another $45 nightly charge.

By booking the most expensive property — Crockfords Las Vegas, LXR Hotels & Resorts — I easily saved myself over $1,300 from this reservation alone given the cash rates here are normally higher than the other on-site hotels.

Hot Tip:

If the hotel shows that it’s sold out for your desired dates, keep checking the Hilton site frequently. I had originally booked a room at the Las Vegas Hilton but was able to find last-minute availability at Crockfords roughly a week before my desired travel dates.

2. Not All Crockfords Guests Can Check In at the Crockfords Desk

On the hotel side of things, Resorts World is divided into 2 main towers: the Hilton and the Conrad/Crockfords. There are nearly 1,800 rooms and 1,500 rooms at the Hilton and Conrad, respectively, and just 236 rooms and suites at Crockfords. The guest rooms at Crockfords occupy the top 8 floors of the Conrad building.

Resorts World Hotel
Resorts World is located at the end of the Strip, but that means there are some pretty amazing views from the top floor.

While Crockfords takes up a small fraction of the Conrad hotel, there is a dedicated lobby in a separate gated area of Resorts World known as the Crockfords Living Room. This is where you’ll get dropped off if you enter the hotel’s name into your Uber or Lyft app.

Crockfords Entrance
Not all guests are invited to check in at the Crockfords Living Room.

The Crockfords lobby is nothing short of gorgeous, with high ceilings and an elegant all-marble look.

Crockfords Lobby Bar
One of the most beautiful hotel lobbies I’ve ever seen!

As soon as we arrived at the lobby, we learned that not all Crockfords guests are allowed to check in to this lobby. This must have been a recent change within the last year, as friends who have previously stayed at this hotel stated that all Crockford check-ins were housed here.

Crockfords Club Check In Desk
There was nobody in line to check in on a Friday afternoon, but this picture was taken before I realized I was in the wrong lobby.

Now, only “invited guests” and suite holders can check into the Crockfords concierge desk. However, a friendly staff member personally escorted us to the main lobby that housed check-ins for Conrad guests and Crockfords standard rooms.

Crockfords Hallway
Most Crockfords guests will need to visit the shared reception area.

Even so, Crockfords guests are able to visit the Crockfords Living Room for complimentary coffee, tea, and light bites from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. daily. My boyfriend and I checked out the bar the next morning, but it fell short of expectations with just a few (stale) croissants, lukewarm coffee, and bananas and apples — hard pass.

Crockfords Breakfast
Don’t expect a true “breakfast” from the complimentary bites.

Once we arrived at the right check-in desk (which was labeled “Crockfords with Conrad Invited Guests”), it was not too long of a wait to speak to a reservations agent. In fact, the staff members were friendly and professional in quickly assisting us to get settled in our room.

Crockfords Standard Room Check In
The shared lobby was busy, but I never waited long to speak to someone.

Although the lobby check-in was a bit confusing when we first arrived, it didn’t hamper our experience at Resorts World throughout the rest of the weekend.

2. The Crockfords’ Guest Rooms Are Gorgeous

When booking the Crockfords hotel at the standard award rate, you’ll be booked into a Superior Room. An upgrade to a suite was out of the cards since we came to Las Vegas on a peak travel weekend, and there were no suites available.

Even if you didn’t book a suite, a stay at the Crockfords hotel will certainly be luxurious no matter what — and will feel many, many calibers above other properties on the Strip.

Crockfords has spacious and clean guest rooms.

The hotel still had that fresh carpet smell despite being more than 2 years old, and the hallways were always quiet and clean during my weekend. We never heard our neighbors or music blasting — a far cry from many previous Vegas hotels I’ve stayed at in the past.

Crockfords Hallway
The Crockfords hotel has an upscale luxury feel without being too stuffy.

At 550 square feet, the Superior Rooms at Crockfords are enormous.

Although we had a city-view room (rather than overlooking the Strip), the floor-to-ceiling windows brought in a ton of natural light throughout the day. At night, housekeeping provided turndown service with bottles of water and chocolate squares placed next to our bedside tables.

The bathroom was perhaps my favorite part of the room, with an oval tub and an oversized LED mirror that made for ideal makeup lighting.

Crockfords Marble Bathroom
Fresh towels were replaced twice daily.

The bathroom also had a separate water closet with frosted glass and a walk-in shower, complete with a rainfall shower head.

The toilet also had a bidet.

It wasn’t just the physical space that felt opulent at Crockfords. We loved the thoughtful amenities that were scattered around the room, such as the complimentary sheet masks and luxurious bath caviar.

More hotels should offer free face masks!

On 1 of the bedside tables, they even had a complimentary Theragun for use. This was a valuable in-room amenity for me as I had planned to make use of it after my workout (more on this below).

In all, Crockfords had a large emphasis on wellness and recovery, which is atypical of most Las Vegas hotels.

It was nice to see there were plenty of amenities available for use at guests’ leisure, such as this heated massage gun.

3. Hilton Honors Elite Benefits Are Limited

Hilton loyalists visiting Las Vegas are likely to stay at Resorts World to earn bonus points and extra perks — but what exactly do they get at the Crockfords hotel?

In 2022, Hilton Honors changed the complimentary breakfast benefit for Gold and Diamond members to a “food and beverage credit” at properties in the U.S., significantly devaluing the benefit across the board.

At the Conrad and Crockfords hotels, Hilton Gold and Diamond elite members receive a $25 per day food and beverage credit for up to 2 guests. I was disappointed to find out that the credit wasn’t usable at more dining venues across Resorts World — instead, the credit is limited to the DawgHouse Saloon & Sports Book that is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner.

Dawg House Saloon Resorts World
The DawgHouse Saloon is open until 2 a.m. on weekends.

Since I have top-tier Diamond status thanks to my Hilton Aspire card, we were able to receive $50 in statement credits per day. DawgHouse Saloon served typical sports bar fare, from burgers to chicken tenders and fries, and had a few decent selections of breakfast sandwiches in the morning.

Besides the credit, Hilton elite members can earn up to 100% bonus points on stays (when paying cash) and access to space-available upgrades.

Hot Tip:

Be sure to double-check your hotel bill after your stay is complete, as my food and beverage credits weren’t applied at all. It took a quick email to Hilton’s customer service to get these refunds applied to my statement.

Not to mention, Resorts World is part of a greater complex with a mall and an international food court (called “Famous Foods”) where you can find far better places to dine. Otherwise, you may want to plan your dinner reservations elsewhere on the Strip.

The District at Resorts World Las Vegas is the mall on-site, just to the left of the casino.

4. Don’t Have Hilton Honors Elite Status? You Can Also Book Through Amex FHR

Both the Conrad and Crockfords hotels can be booked through the Amex Fine Hotels + Resorts program (FHR), which is available to cardholders of The Platinum Card® from American Express, The Business Platinum Card® from American Express, or Centurion® Card from American Express*.

*All information about Centurion® Card from American Express has been collected independently by Upgraded Points.

If you find a cheap cash rate for one of these Resorts World hotels, booking through the Amex FHR program can be a fantastic way to get immense value from your stay thanks to the long list of elite-like benefits you’d receive.

5. It’s Not Perfect, but Crockfords Is One of the Best Luxury Hotels on the Strip

Since our sole purpose for visiting Las Vegas was for Katy Perry’s final residency show, a stay at the Resorts World was adequate for our needs. Similarly, if you’re visiting Las Vegas to see another concert or show at Resorts World Theatre, the convenience of booking an on-site hotel is unmatched.

Katy Perry Resorts World
Katy Perry’s final show was electric, and we were so glad we booked a stay on-site.

If we had planned a Vegas trip focused on exploring the Strip and hopping between casinos, the Resorts World hotel might not have been the most ideal choice. Its location at the end of the Strip is a bit removed from most of the action.

That said, Crockfords is still a fantastic property as a whole and makes for a great place to stay for a luxury experience in Vegas. Despite a few minor hiccups, such as the gym being closed all weekend due to repairs (bummed I didn’t get to use the Theragun) and the small billing error, there were no complaints about the room or staff.

Final Thoughts

A trip to Las Vegas is something I only do on rare occasions since I don’t like to gamble. If I do return in the future, I would definitely book another stay at the Resorts World. Now that I’ve stayed at the Crockfords, I’m curious to see how the Conrad would compare, as the rates are a bit more affordable.

That said, there are plenty of ways to get your money’s worth out of a stay at Resorts World, whether you have free night rewards, a stash of Hilton Honors points, or even an Amex FHR credit to burn.

By doing so, you can save money on your Las Vegas vacation and have more to spend on entertainment like shows or slot machines!
