Marriott has announced the opening of JW Marriott Hotel Nairobi in Kenya. Located in the Westlands district, at 35 stories, it will soon be the tallest hotel in the country.

JW Marriott Hotel Nairobi is the brand’s first property in the capital city and second overall in Kenya (the other location, JW Marriott Masai Mara Lodge, opened in 2023.)

This 315-room hotel boasts 5 restaurants, a luxury spa, a swimming pool, a fitness center, and 8 event spaces. 51 serviced apartments on the top 9 floors will open later this year.

The hotel’s interior, designed by George Wong, was inspired by the colors and spirit of the African savannah. Unique artwork, including sculptures, wall murals, and textiles, that celebrate Kenya and its landscapes can be found throughout the hotel.

MIDI Café & Patisserie offers light bites throughout the day, while Myna Restaurant serves African-inspired international cuisine. Hudson Tavern Bar & Grill is a laid-back sports bar, and Mughal offers fine dining with a dedicated cocktail bar. Finally, Mr. Pang Sky Bar & Lounge, which is scheduled to open later this year, will serve Pan-Asian cuisine from its fantastic 31st-floor location.
