Do you have a U.S. Bank Cash+® Visa Signature® Card? If so, check your email to find a new promotion allowing you to save $100 on your next hotel stay.

Let’s take a look at the details.

New U.S. Bank Cardholder Promotion

This promotion is exclusive to those with a U.S. Bank Cash+ Signature card and allows cardholders to save $100 on their upcoming hotel stays.

You’ll save $100 on a hotel stay costing $700 or more, but you must book through the rewards center and pay with your U.S. Bank Cash+ Signature card. Additionally, you need to book by January 31, 2025, and this offer is only valid for a single use.

Lastly, note that the $700 price tag must be before taxes and fees.

Bottom Line:

If you spend $700 or more on a hotel stay, you can save $100 and also get 5% cash-back on your purchase using this new promotion from the U.S. Bank Cash+ Signature card. However, you need to book by January 31, 2025.

Is It Worth It?

The U.S. Bank Cash+ Signature card is a $0annual-fee card that provides 5% cash-back on up to $2,000 in eligible spending in 2 categories of your choice each quarter, then 1% back. It also offers 2% cash-back on an everyday category that you select with no limit. Plus, you’ll get 5% back on prepaid air, hotel, and car reservations booked through the card’s travel portal.

That makes it a pretty decent option among cash-back credit cards, but does that mean you should be throwing a $700 hotel purchase on the card?

If you already have upcoming plans and want an easy way to save $100, this could be worth it. After all, it’s the equivalent of getting 14% back on your booking, which is nothing to sneeze at. Add to this the 5% cash-back you’ll get for booking through the portal and you’re looking at a 19% return overall.

To maximize this offer, you’ll want to spend as close to $700 as possible and avoid properties with excessive fees (we’re looking at you, resort fees). The more you spend, the less value you’re getting with this promotion.

However, you’ll want to be careful when booking travel through a third party such as U.S. Bank’s Reward Center. This is because hotels punish third-party bookings by not honoring elite status benefits or allowing you to earn elite status credit.

That means this offer is best used on a hotel stay where you wouldn’t ordinarily receive benefits, such as a stay at a boutique or non-chain hotel.

Final Thoughts

This new promotion for those with the U.S. Bank Cash+ Signature card allows you to save $100 on a $700 prepaid hotel stay. To qualify, you must use your card and book through the Reward Center. If you’re interested, do so before January 31, 2025.
