When in early 2020, United is charging Premier 1Ks (and other levels of elites) who are losing status from less traveling (even if meeting $ spend) more than $3,000 just to remain Platinum, the elite status analysis you do is no longer valid. Maintaining status is becoming a rat race of never ending spending more, and moving credit card spend and other stuff to a single source.

Way too many 1k and platinum now. United devalued status so much this year and last. Only reason I still fly them is because Delta has not finished the terminal yet.
