I was wondering if the airlines have a vet on-site for pets to be checked to see if they can travel or if sick do they provide a pet Vet? Or is that just for travel out of the United States?

Hi Sheryl, some pet transportation services might have a vet, but generally, there won’t be a vet at the airports to check if your pets are cleared for travel. Instead, most airlines require a health certification letter from your pet’s vet if you are traveling internationally. Hope this helps!

A breeder is sending a puppy via air freight tomorrow through XPO logistics. I called to get the address and he said the puppy would be sent to the Sacramento airport but I can’t get an answer as to where to pick him up. Please help.

Hi Betty. If the puppy was sent as cargo, you may have to pick it up on Lindbergh Dr which is not far from the airport. The exact location will depend on which airline the puppy is coming in on. More information here: https://www.dogsonplanes.com/airports/smf/
