Bilt Rewards, the relatively new program that lets you earn points by paying rent, has added 3 new transfer partners — Aer Lingus, British Airways, and Iberia.

That brings the total number of transfer partners up to 14, making Bilt Rewards points one of the most valuable point currencies out there.

Let’s take a closer look at the new partners!

Bilt Rewards Overview

Bilt Rewards has been making waves in both the travel and housing sectors since it debuted in 2021. The unique program lets renters earn points by paying rent and also offers its own co-branded credit card that earns bonus points as well.

The straightforward earning structure makes for one of the more compelling and competitive travel cards on the market today.

Cardholders can earn points according to the following structure:

  • $0 annual fee
  • 1x points per dollar spent on rent (up to 50,000 points per calendar year)
  • 2x points per dollar spent on travel
  • 3x points per dollar spent on dining
  • 1x points per dollar spent on all other charges

The only caveat is that you must use your card at least 5 times per month to activate the bonus categories.

Hot Tip: You don’t need to hold the Bilt World Elite Mastercard® Credit Card to earn rewards for paying rent. If your rental unit is part of the Bilt Rewards Alliance, you can pay your landlord directly via the app

Bilt Rewards’ Partners

Bilt Rewards already had an impressive list of transfer partners, so adding 3 more only makes this flexible currency even more valuable.

Aer Lingus AerClub, British Airways Executive Club, and Iberia Plus all use the popular Avios currency, and the British Airways transfer option is now available via the Bilt app. Aer Lingus and Iberia are expected to go live in September, but in the meantime, it’s possible to transfer Avios from BA to the other programs for free and at a 1:1 ratio.

The current list of Bilt Rewards transfer partners includes:

With 1:1 transfer partners like American Airlines, British Airways, and Hyatt, building up your Bilt balance may be something to look into sooner rather than later.

In addition to those transfer partners, members can also redeem their points via the Bilt Rewards Travel Portal for 1.25 cents each — and this includes Disney and Universal theme park tickets!

Hot Tip: Earn 100 free bonus points when you link your Bilt Rewards account to British Airways!

Best Ways To Use Bilt Rewards Points

Bilt Rewards are valuable because they are flexible and can open up some great redemption opportunities. Adding these Avios partners only makes that even more true.

British Airways Executive Club has a great loyalty program for booking short-haul, nonstop flights in the U.S. and for flights from Miami to the Caribbean on American Airlines. You can even get to Hawaii or Japan for cheap if you can find availability.

Iberia Plus can be a valuable option when flying from the East Coast to Madrid (MAD) — you can book a business class seat for just 34,000 Avios each way!

Final Thoughts

It’s always good news when a flexible point currency like Bilt Rewards adds new partners.

While the new additions are arguably less valuable than the existing transfer partners, having another way to boost your Avios balance is always a good thing — plus you can score 100 free bonus points for linking your accounts.

Whether you have the no-annual-fee Bilt card, or just have a Bilt Rewards account by itself, this news is certainly a positive addition to the program.
