This promotion is applicable for all Citi Double Cash cardholders. Here’s how you can score the discount:

You must book a prepaid hotel stay between June 1 and July 31, 2024 through the Citi travel portal.
To receive the 10% off promotion, you must pre-pay for your complete stay with your Citi Double Cash card, ThankYou^® Points, or a combination of the 2.
The 10% discount will automatically apply at checkout, excluding taxes and fees.

Let’s say you book a hotel where the stay is $500 before any taxes and fees. If you book before July 31, you will save $50. On top of that, you will earn 5% cash-back, as the Citi Double Cash card has a promotion on hotel and car rental bookings through the portal until December 31, 2024. The 5% cash-back is earned from the base price, which means an additional $25 back in your pocket.

However, if you don’t stay in hotels often or are indifferent about earning status, you can quickly save on rising hotel prices. A boutique property not affiliated with a rewards program could be a great option here.

Additionally, the Citi Double Cash card doesn’t come with travel insurance or coverage. So, if you decide to take advantage of the 10% off hotel booking promotion, you may consider purchasing a separate travel insurance policy to ensure coverage in case things go awry.
