One of the newest benefits for Amex Business Platinum card is catered to large-scale spenders. In addition to the Amex Business Platinum card’s core perks and credits above, cardholders who spend more than $250,000 on qualifying purchases per calendar year get access to even more valuable benefits.

You can earn up to $3,600 back in statement credits on flights booked through AmexTravel.com and on fees for American Express One AP. Once you hit the qualifying spend each year, your statement credits kick in starting the entire next calendar year, from January 1 through December 31.

Here’s how it works: cardmembers who spend $250,000 in eligible purchases during the calendar year can get up to $1,200 in statement credits on flights booked on AmexTravel.com.

Amex Business Platinum cardmembers can also get up to $2,400 in statement credits on American Express One AP monthly fees. This accounts payable automation platform charges an auto-renewing platform access fee and transaction fees.

These are fantastic benefits to earn, especially the statement credits for flights booked through Amex Travel. You can pair this benefit with a flight from the International Airline Program, which offers discounts on select international premium economy, business class, and first class tickets.

Bottom Line:

The Amex Business Platinum card has no preset spending limit, which means your spending limit is flexible. Unlike a traditional card with a set limit, the amount you can spend adapts based on factors such as your purchase, payment, and credit history — making this the best business card for large expenses.
