With one of the most comprehensive hotel portfolios in the world, Hilton Honors covers every type of stay imaginable. Hilton properties span ultra-luxury resorts with private beach clubs to dependable Hampton Inn properties where you can count on a clean room and a hot, fresh breakfast waffle.

It’s easy to see why Hilton Honors has grown to more than 200 million loyalty members who value earning and redeeming points with every stay.

A select few Hilton properties rise above the rest. Hilton Honors has revealed the 3 hotels where members redeemed more points than anywhere else in 2025, shared at an exclusive media event ahead of its public release of the new, top-tier Diamond Reserve elite status tier.

Here’s the official list — and how you’ll be able to earn enough points to score free nights at these coveted hotels in 2026.

1. Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort

It’s no surprise that members are saving their hard-earned points for aspirational stays. Few properties fit that bill better than the Grand Wailea, a Waldorf Astoria Resort. The property also looks even better than before, thanks to its $300 million renovation, which wrapped up in late 2024.

The Grand Wailea is Maui’s largest hotel by room count. Spanning more than 40 acres and nearly 800 guest rooms, the resort is expansive enough to handle peak travel seasons. Members can often find sufficient standard award availability simply because there are numerous rooms on-site.

As part of Hilton Honors’ top-tier luxury brand, Waldorf Astoria, the Grand Wailea delivers the personalized service and timeless elegance the brand is known for, with its flagship property located in New York City.

Grand Wailea is a big favorite among families for its enormous pools, lazy river, and direct access to Wailea Beach. While nightly rates fluctuate by season, standard rooms rarely dip below $700. Cash prices often climb well past $1,000 per night.

How To Book Grand Wailea With Hilton Honors Points

As one of Hilton’s most expensive hotels, standard award nights at the Grand Wailea have historically been priced at 110,000 points. Earlier this year, that rate briefly spiked to 160,000 points before settling back (at least for now) at the 110,000-point baseline.

When asked whether this lower rate is here to stay, Hilton Honors executives at the media event shared that standard award pricing fluctuates based on demand. In other words, no award rate is ever truly permanent — for better, or, more often, for worse.

Travelers with flexible plans should search Hilton’s website specifically for nights labeled Standard Room Reward rather than Premium Room Rewards. This can be done by selecting your dates and using the Shop by Price option.

If you hold any Hilton free night certificates from co-branded Hilton credit cards, those can be redeemed for standard award nights, regardless of the point cost, provided standard award availability exists. These cards also offer substantial welcome bonus offers, making it easier to build a healthy Hilton Honors points balance.

2. Conrad Tokyo

The Conrad Tokyo is a luxury city hotel, set in the heart of Tokyo. The property is within walking distance of popular neighborhoods such as Ginza and Shinbashi, and offers sweeping views of Tokyo Bay and the Hamarikyū Gardens.

One of Conrad Tokyo’s most iconic amenities is its Executive Lounge on the 37th floor, which is accessible to Hilton Honors Diamond members. Complimentary snacks and drinks are available throughout much of the day, including breakfast and dinner service.

Hilton’s most premier property in Tokyo features nearly 300 guest rooms, with nightly cash rates starting around $500 per night.

How To Book Conrad Tokyo With Hilton Honors Points

At this Hilton hotel, standard award nights start at 130,000 Hilton Honors points per night.

All Hilton Honors elite members (including those with entry-level Silver status) receive the fifth night free on award stays. In practice, this means booking 5 consecutive award nights while paying points for only 4.

This perk is especially valuable for a destination like Tokyo, where extending your stay allows you to experience the city fully. While still a significant redemption, rather than spending 650,000 points for 5 nights, you’ll pay 520,000 Hilton Honors points.

If you need to top off your balance, American Express Membership Rewards is the only major credit card program that transfers to Hilton at a favorable 1:2 ratio. For example, transferring 100,000 Amex points yields 200,000 Hilton Honors points instantly.

Not to mention, cards like the Platinum Card® from American Express and The Business Platinum Card® from American Express offer complimentary Hilton Honors Gold elite status upon enrollment — allowing you to unlock the fifth award night free privileges.

3. Waldorf Astoria, Las Vegas

Rounding out the list — and ranking as the most popular hotel within the continental U.S. — is the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas. It’s easily Hilton’s most luxurious hotel in Las Vegas, even edging out the hotels at the massive Resorts World complex, thanks to its prime location on the Strip.

It’s no wonder Hilton Honors members love this property. After all, the perfect Las Vegas trip is just a couple of nights, so saving up the points required to book an award room isn’t that tall a task.

The Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas boasts 389 guest rooms and suites, complemented by resort-style amenities that include pools, a full-service spa, and elevated dining with attentive poolside service. Room rates range from $400 to $800 per night.

How To Book Waldorf Astoria, Las Vegas, With Hilton Honors Points

Love it or hate it, Hilton Honors operates with a heavily inflated points currency.

When standard award nights at the Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas are priced at just 85,000 points per night, that feels like a bargain compared to other luxury properties in Hilton’s portfolio.

Naturally, this raises an obvious question — one I’ve been eager to have answered for some time. By comparison, competing programs like World of Hyatt offer far more modest award pricing, with nights starting as low as 3,500 points and rarely exceeding 50,000 points per night.

When this question was posed to Hilton’s media executives, the response was straightforward: Hilton Honors offers significantly more promotions and earning opportunities than its competitors.

To be fair, there’s some truth to that. With the Hilton Aspire card, for instance, members can earn 14x points from the card, plus an additional 20x points earned through automatic Diamond status. Even basic Hilton Honors members, with no elite status, earn 10x points per $1 spent at most Hilton Honors brands.

Runner Up: Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH)

While not a single property on its own, the Small Luxury Hotels of the World (SLH) partnership deserves a special shoutout. Since this portfolio was bought out in 2024 from World of Hyatt, “Hilton Honors members have redeemed more than 10 billion points.”

To put that in perspective, we value Hilton Honors points at 0.5 cents each, meaning members can reasonably expect to achieve that average redemption value. At that rate, 10 billion Hilton Honors points equate to $50 million in value.

SLH properties are a truly unique addition to Hilton Honors, offering an intimate and upscale experience that many large-scale resorts can’t match. These hotels span the globe from Iceland’s Hotel Rangá, renowned for its Northern Lights viewing, to the pristine beaches at Sailrock South Caicos in Turks & Caicos.

Bottom Line:

Just like the other properties on this list, you can redeem free night certificates for nights at SLH, with standard award rates varying greatly by property.

Final Thoughts

It’s always interesting to see which properties are most popular among Hilton Honors members and how they align with broader travel trends. Not to mention, the expanding partnership with Small Luxury Hotels of the World is helping members choose from more bespoke properties.

It’ll be interesting to see how this list changes at the end of 2026, especially with the long-awaited reopening of the Waldorf Astoria New York — though standard award rooms are tough to come by.

Have you ever stayed at any of these 3 hotels that made the hit list for Hilton Honors in 2025?
