Citi Rewards+ Card — Is It Worth It?

The Citi Rewards+ card is excellent for those who want a card that earns flexible rewards, offers great bonus categories, and gives a great intro APR offer, all with a $0 annual fee.

With the card, you earn 5x points on hotel, car rentals, and attractions booked on CitiTravel.com (through December 31, 2025), and 2x points on supermarkets and gas stations for the first $6,000 spent per year. Plus, your points earn round up to the nearest 10 points on every purchase. This means that if you purchase an item for $1, you earn 10 points instead of 1.

Another great benefit of the Citi Rewards+ card is that it includes access to some Citi ThankYou transfer partners, albeit fewer than its counterpart, the Citi Strata Premier℠ Card.

Even still, you can transfer your points to the Choice Privileges, JetBlue TrueBlue, and Wyndham Rewards programs. Further, cardholders get 10% of their redeemed points back each year, up to the first 100,000 points redeemed per year. That means redeeming 100,000 points would give you 10,000 back.

Citi Rewards+ Card Top Benefits and Perks

Here is a look at some of the best benefits of the Citi Rewards+ card.

  • Access to Citi Merchant offers
  • Will round up to the nearest 10 points on every purchase
  • 10% of your redeemed points back, up to 100,000 redeemed points each year
  • Access to Citi Entertainment
  • $0 annual fee

Best Ways To Earn and Redeem Citi ThankYou Points

Use your card for as many of your daily expenses as you can in order to earn as many Citi ThankYou points as possible, especially on purchases that fall within the bonus categories of hotel, car rentals, and attractions booked on CitiTravel.com, along with supermarkets and gas stations.

Of course, aside from using your card for purchases, there are also other great ways to earn more Citi ThankYou points.

When it comes to redeeming your Citi ThankYou points, you could redeem them as cash-back via a statement credit, as a payment method with select merchants like Amazon or BestBuy, for travel purchases made through Citi Travel, or for gift cards. As mentioned, you can also transfer your points to Choice, JetBlue, and Wyndham, but you won’t have access to the entire collection of Citi transfer partners.
