JetBlue’s loyalty program is called TrueBlue. As a member, you’ll get 3x points for every flight. Then, you’ll earn another 3 TrueBlue points for every $1 you spend on JetBlue purchases with the card, for a total of 6x points.

You’ll also get 2x TrueBlue points when you make qualifying purchases at restaurants and grocery stores, plus 1x TrueBlue points for all other purchases you put on the card.

Keep your account in good standing, and there’s no limit to the points you can earn! Best of all, redeem points for any seat at any time on JetBlue flights with no blackout dates. Your miles never expire.

In addition, JetBlue offers a unique benefit to TrueBlue members called Family Pooling. Unlike other airlines that make combining and transferring points among family members a challenge, JetBlue makes it easy.

Family Pooling allows up to 2 adults and 5 kids to collect points individually and then pool them together for free. This program comes in handy when trying to reach a big travel goal like a group award trip!

If you travel abroad, you’ll appreciate that there are no foreign transaction fees with the card. The chip-card technology also allows you to make international purchases with ease.

Mosaic Status

Having the JetBlue card makes earning JetBlue elite status easier. You can earn 1 tile (the metric used to determine status) for every $1,000 you spend on the JetBlue card.

You need to qualify every year, but the perks include 3x bonus points for booking flights (in addition to other points) and up to 2 free checked bags for you and anyone traveling on your itinerary

You also get access to an expedited security line, early boarding, a dedicated customer service line, and complimentary in-flight alcoholic beverages. Plus, there are no change or cancellation fees for those with Mosaic status.

Best Way To Redeem JetBlue Points

No matter which methods you use to earn JetBlue miles, you will want to redeem them for the highest value possible. Here are some tips for getting the most out of your TrueBlue point redemptions.

Tip #1: Book a JetBlue flight. Just visit jetblue.com/trueblue and sign into your account. Click on “Book Travel” and you can search for fares using points.

The number of points required for an Award Flight varies because it is based on the published base fare at the time you book. That means when a fare goes down, you need fewer points to book it. That’s a nice benefit!

Tip #2: Purchase one of the many JetBlue Vacation Getaways and save by using your TrueBlue points. While you can’t book a package with just your points, you can combine cash and points. Make reservations at jetblue.com/getaways or call 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583), option 3.

If you need more points to qualify for the cash and points option, you can purchase them. The minimum purchase is 1,000 points for $37.63, and you can purchase up to 30,000 points in increments of 500.

Tip #3: Redeem points for a flight on Hawaiian Airlines. To book through JetBlue, visit jetblue.com and enter your TrueBlue number or call 1-800-JETBLUE (538-2583).

You can also book directly through Hawaiian Airlines at hawaiianair.com and then call 1-977-HA-MILES to add your TrueBlue number.

Tip #4: Donate points to charities in the youth and education, community, and environment categories. Find a list of charities at the JetBlue TrueBlue website.

Tip #5: Subscribe to magazines and newspapers using your points. Magazine subscriptions start at 400 points, and there is home delivery for a wide selection of local and national newspapers.

Best Way To Maximize JetBlue Points

There are plenty of ways to get value from The JetBlue card. We created a list of tips to get you started maximizing JetBlue points.

Tip #1: Purchase products from more than 700 online retailers at the ShopTrue Portal.

It’s possible to earn as many as 19 points per dollar spent at your favorite merchants. You’ll find stores like Nordstrom, L.L. Bean, Sephora, and more.

Tip #2: Fill out surveys at e-Rewards and Points for Surveys to earn extra points that transfer to your TrueBlue account. Get 350 points for completing your first survey at e-Rewards and 400 points at Points for Surveys. Then, earn extra points for completing additional surveys!

Tip #3: Book car rentals and earn extra TrueBlue points at the same time. JetBlue partners with car rental companies Avis, Budget, Carmel, Hertz, and Payless.

You can even earn points parking your car at Parking Spot or booking rides through Zipcar.

Tip #4: Transfer American Express Membership Rewards points to your TrueBlue account. The transfer rate is 250:200.

Tip #5: Link your TrueBlue account to JetBlue’s hotel partners (Hilton Honors, IHG One Rewards, and Marriott Bonvoy) and earn TrueBlue points.

Hotel search site HotelTonight also participates. Just enter your TrueBlue account number.

Tip #6: Book your JetBlue flights on jetblue.com for extra bonus points. The table below shows the number of bonus points awarded for each type of fare.

These bonus points are on top of the 3x points you get for using your card and 3x points for being a TrueBlue member!

Tip #7: Earn 6 points per dollar on JetBlue Vacation Getaways packages. The only caveat is that you can’t use points to purchase packages, only cash or credit card.

Tip #8: Get extra points when flying JetBlue by booking an Even More Space seat (200 points) or flying with your pet (300 points). There is a $100 fee each way for the JetPaws program.

Tip #9: Fly with JetBlue’s airline partners to earn TrueBlue points. Because JetBlue isn’t a member of an airline alliance, you’ll have to add your membership number to your passenger info when booking a flight.

Barclaycard offers a total of 3 JetBlue Barclaycard credit cards:

This card is the only one without an annual fee; both of the others are $99 per year.

Members who carry The JetBlue Plus Card get several benefits for the annual fee, including a sign-up bonus and 6x TrueBlue points for JetBlue purchases.

The card also comes with an anniversary bonus of 5,000 points per year. The first checked bag is free (for you and 3 companions), and you get a 10% bonus when redeeming points.

Finally, every year, if you purchase a JetBlue Getaways vacation package of at least $100, you will receive a $100 statement credit.

Bottom Line: The JetBlue Plus Card has a ton of value. Of course, if you prefer not to pay an annual fee, The JetBlue card is your only option in this card family.
