Newark Liberty International Airport (EWR) regularly serves tens of millions of passengers each year, making it one of the busiest airports in the U.S. Thankfully for travelers, the airport also has a decent number of airport lounges.

Whether you’re flying United (the airline that accounts for around half of passenger traffic at EWR), Delta, American, or even an international carrier, you’ll have options when it comes to finding an airport lounge.

EWR has 13 lounges, including 5 lounges managed by United Airlines, a Delta Sky Club, and an American Airlines Admirals Club. Passengers who are not eligible for an airline lounge can purchase a day pass to the Virgin Atlantic Clubhouse operated by Plaza Premium Group or Lufthansa Business Lounge in Terminal B.

Admirals Club House Rules

Gate passes will not be issued for entry, so guests must have access to the applicable terminal or concourse.
Infants under 2 years are admitted free of charge and do not count towards guest allowances.

Connecting Between Terminals for Lounge Access

If you’re flying with a Star Alliance airline, you can ride the United Shuttle bus that operates between the 3 terminals inside the secure area. This allows passengers to use a lounge in a different terminal to their departing flight without the need to reclear security. Buses operate from near gates A28, B67, and C70.

If you’re not traveling on a Star Alliance airline and need to travel between terminals, you must ride the AirTrain and reclear security. Keep this in mind and allow plenty of time if you’re changing terminals to access a particular lounge before your flight.

Newark Liberty International Airport has a good selection of lounges where passengers can wait for their flight in more comfortable surroundings. The airside shuttle bus gives Star Alliance passengers the freedom to move between terminals without needing to re-clear security.

Is there a Priority Pass lounge in Newark Airport?

Not at the moment. Priority Pass members have previously had access the British Airways Lounge located in Terminal B, but this lounge is no longer accepting Priority Pass.

Can you walk between terminals at EWR?

Passengers are not able to walk between terminals at Newark Liberty International Airport and must ride the AirTrain outside the secure area. Star Alliance passengers may opt to ride the terminal shuttle bus that operates inside the secure area to avoid having to pass through security again.

Does Newark Airport have a United Club?

Newark Liberty International Airport has 4 United Clubs:

Terminal A
- Near gate A27: Daily from 5 a.m. to 9:15 a.m.
Terminal C:
- Near gate C74: Daily from 5:15 a.m. to 9:45 p.m.
- Terminal C3, near gate C123: Daily from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Does Newark Airport have an Admirals Club?

Newark Liberty International Airport has an Admirals Club located in Terminal A that is undergoing refurbishment.
