Earn Aeromexico Points With Credit Cards

Arguably, the best way to earn Aeromexico Club Premier Points is by transferring them from a mainstream U.S. points currency such as Amex Membership Rewards or Capital One Miles.

Luckily, there are lots of options to earn Aeromexico points from credit card points transfers, so let’s get to the best earning opportunities!

American Express Membership Rewards Cards (Best Option)

In our opinion, American Express Membership Rewards-bearing cards are the single best way and most cost-effective method to accrue Aeromexico Club Premier Points quickly.

You can transfer your Amex points at a 1,000:1,600 ratio, meaning that for every 1,000 Amex points transferred, you’ll earn 1,600 Aeromexico Club Premier Points.

To make things better, you can often get huge transfer bonuses of up to 25%, simply by transferring Amex points to Aeromexico.

Capital One Rewards Credit Cards

We believe that Amex cards are the best way to earn Aeromexico Club Premier Points quickly, thanks to the awesome transfer ratio paired with potential transfer bonuses.

However, if you’re short on Amex points, you’ll be happy to know that Aeromexico is a Capital One transfer partner at a 1:1 ratio. There haven’t been any transfer bonuses so far, but nonetheless, there’s nothing like having the option of transferring the points of your choice to Aeromexico.

Transferring Capital One miles can be of excellent value if you’re just a few thousand Aeromexico points short of your desired award redemption. See our guide on the best ways to earn CapOne miles if you’re short.

Recommended Capital One Cards That Earn Miles (Personal)

Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card - This card is packed with lots of benefits and perks. Earn 60,000 mile sign up bonus once you spend $3,000 on purchases within 3 months from account opening. Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card - This is an excellent card for those looking to earn 1.25x miles per $1 on every purchase. With a 20,000 mile sign up bonus (worth $200 toward travel) after spending $500 within the first 3 months and no annual fee, it's a strong choice.

Marriott Bonvoy Credit Cards

Marriott points continue to be the most flexible rewards currency in the business. With over 40 transfer partners, you’ll have an endless number of options on how to use your points.

Aeromexico Club Premier is a decent way to top off your balance of points for a specific redemption in mind, but there are honestly much better ways to use your Marriott points for flights. It’s still an option, which is why we’re presenting it to you.

Marriott transfers to Aeromexico at a 3:1 ratio with a 5,000 Aeromexico point bonus for every 60,000 Marriott points transferred. If you transfer 60,000 Marriott points, you’ll receive 20,000 Aeromexico points plus an additional 5,000 bonus, which gives you a total of 25,000 AeroMexico points.

Remember that you can transfer up to 240,000 Marriott points per day, and transfers take around 2 days to execute.

Refer a Friend for Bonus Miles

American Express offers one of the most comprehensive refer-a-friend programs in the industry. With this program, you’re able to refer your friends to any card in the American Express portfolio, so long as you’re referring personal cards to personal cards and business cards to business cards.

To do this, you’ll want to log into your American Express account and find the Refer a Friend button.

Additionally, you can also refer your friends to the Chase Marriott Boundless™ Credit Card, so be sure to explore that option, too!

Cardholders of the CapOne Venture card and CapOne VentureOne card can earn bonus miles (that vary by card) for each friend approved that is a new Capital One cardholder. To find your link, sign in to your account or look in the app for the Refer a Friend tile on the account details page.

Earn Miles Through Shopping and Dining

Earning Aeromexico Club Premier Points doesn’t always have to involve ordinary credit card spending using the recommended cards above. If you happen to shop or dine with Aeromexico’s partners, you can earn miles quickly, too. The best scenario is when you’re using a rewards earning card and utilizing Aeromexico’s shopping and dining partners to double-dip rewards.

Club Premier Shopping Partners

Aeromexico Club Premier has fewer partners than other frequent flyer programs such as LifeMiles and partners with:

  • Thanks Again
  • SkyBOX
  • E-Rewards

Thanks Again is a network of merchants at around 100 airports that offers rewards for shopping or purchasing their products. They also have thousands of other merchants outside of airports that you can explore. Whether it’s having dessert, buying duty-free products, or sipping a cup of coffee, Thanks Again offers a way to collect points via a mobile app. One of the points you can collect is Aeromexico Club Premier Points.

Here’s how you can start earning with Thanks Again:

  1. Go to Thanks Again’s website.
  2. Click Join.
  3. Choose Club Premier as your rewards program and enter your details.
  4. Register any American Express, Visa, and MasterCard credit or debit cards.
  5. Spend with a participating merchant.

You can earn 1 Premier Point per $1 every time you use your credit or debit card at the various Thanks Again merchants.

Similar to Thanks Again, SkyBOX is an eCommerce company that centralizes your U.S. and Europe online shopping. You can earn Aeromexico Premier Points through purchases with SkyBOX. Additionally, you receive a 50% discount when you register as a Club Premier member.

Here’s the earning structure for SkyBOX:

  • Registration Fee: $24/year and you’ll receive 1,250 Club Premier Points
  • Each shipment you make with SkyBOX: receive 250 Club Premier Points

Put simply, you can shop anywhere within the U.S. and Europe, ship all the items separately to a SkyBOX address and SkyBOX will mail everything in one international shipment. SkyBOX might not look like much, but it can actually save an extraordinary amount of money in international logistics costs for leisure travelers.

The last non-travel partner of Aeromexico Club Premier we’ll be discussing is e-Rewards, a survey company that rewards people for their answers. Put simply, each completed survey gives you a certain number of opinion points, which you can transfer to Club Premier Points at the following ratio:

Opinion PointsEarn Premier Points
2,500800 Premier Points
5,0001,600 Premier Points
10,0003,200 Premier Points

In order to be eligible, you must be over 18 years old with an email address and a legal resident of Mexico.

Earn Miles Through Travel

One of the best ways to earn miles on purchases is to double-dip on travel-related expenses. Airlines tend to have more travel partners than shopping or dining partners, which presents more opportunities to earn points. In all, here are the ways you can earn Aeromexico Club Premier Points with travel:

  • Airfare and airline purchases
  • Cruises
  • Hotels
  • Car rentals and transportation

Airfare and Airline Purchases

The first, most obvious way to earn Aeromexico Club Premier Points is by traveling with Aeromexico. There are 3 accrual charts:

  • Domestic Mexico flights
  • U.S./Canada flights
  • All other flights

In the same order as listed above, here are the charts.

Aeromexico US and Canada Flights Accrual

Crediting your paid Aeromexico travel to Club Premier is a great way to increase your balance of Club Premier Points. For example, if you flew on a Y fare from New York City (JFK) to Mexico City (MEX), which is a total distance of 2,090 miles (3,344 km), you would earn 125% of 3,344 kilometers, which equals 4,180 Aeromexico Club Premier Points.

Crediting Partner Airlines to Club Premier

Aeromexico is a SkyTeam alliance partner airline, which means that you can credit paid SkyTeam tickets to Aeromexico to earn even more miles! Each partner airline has different accrual charts, so it’ll depend drastically on the exact airline you’re flying on.

You can examine each individual airline’s accrual charts here. Furthermore, Platinum Club Premier members receive a further 50% bonus, while Gold members receive a 25% bonus on all miles earned.

Hot Tip: You can learn the details on crediting airline travel in our ultimate guide on where to credit your airline miles!

So, if you’re a frequent traveler on Delta Air Lines, you can actually credit your travel to Aeromexico by entering your Club Premier number instead of your Delta SkyMiles number when booking a ticket with Delta Air Lines.

In addition, Aeromexico is non-alliance airline partners with:

  • Avianca Brasil
  • Avianca Vuela
  • China Southern Airlines
  • COPA Airlines
  • GOL (Linhas Aéreas Inteligentes)

This list of partner airlines is mostly intuitive, as Mexico serves as a huge gateway to Latin America. Some of the accrual charts, however, are somewhat illogical. Take China Southern, for example.

This rather bizarre accrual chart says that W fare tickets in premium economy tickets earn 110%, which is actually higher than I fare tickets in business class that earn 100%.

Bottom Line: If you want to earn lots of Aeromexico miles, you can credit paid Aeromexico tickets, SkyTeam tickets, and non-alliance partner tickets all to Club Premier to accelerate your earnings dramatically.

Club Premier Cruises Booking Portal

If a cruise is somewhere on your radar in terms of near-future travel, then booking with Aeromexico’s cruise portal can give you a huge sum of Premier Points, up to tens of thousands of them!

Here’s an example booking you can make:

Aeromexico Cruise Results

Aeromexico tells users in a very user-friendly format how many Premier Points you can earn by booking a certain stateroom on a certain cruise, so there are no surprises. Also, since this function is a cruise booking portal, you have unlimited flexibility on which cruise lines you can book.

This is an excellent way to squeeze out even more value if you were planning on booking a cruise. For family travel, the points earnings multiply and can become significant very quickly.

Just be sure to double-check the prices elsewhere for the same itinerary, as it might be even cheaper in another search engine. In order to search for cruises on Club Premier, you need to log in with your frequent flyer account, so keep that in mind, too.

Bottom Line: Club Premier has an excellent user interface for booking cruises and earning Aeromexico points for doing so. Be sure to check frequently on their website to snag any special promotions or reap any cruise benefits!

Club Premier Hotel Partners

Aeromexico Club Premier has a number of hotel partner affiliates that you can earn points with. You’ll find Aeromexico Club Premier hotel partners on their website. Here’s a list that illustrates all the hotel brands and earning structures for Club Premier:

Car Rentals and Other Ground Transportation

Club Premier currently has 3 transportation partners:

  • Firefly
  • Hertz
  • Nueva Imagen

Firefly is a low-cost car rental company that earns points based on the duration of your rental. Specifically, here’s the scheme for earning Club Premier Points:

Rental DurationPremier Points Earned
1 day350 Premier Points
2 days500 Premier Points
3 days or more600 Premier Points

At Hertz, Club Premier members earn 1,000 Premier Points per rental in Mexico and 80 Premier Points per rental day in the United States. Also, government and corporate rentals are eligible to earn 100 Premier Points for every 1,000 pesos spent.

The last transportation partner is Nueva Imagen, which is a taxi company that enables you to earn points for each cab request from/to Mexico City International Airport. When you request a taxi from the airport to your address in Mexico, you’ll earn 1 Premier Point for every 10 pesos spent. In the other direction, you’ll actually earn 50% more Premier Points!

Hot Tip: Once you’ve earned all those Aeromexico Club Premier Points, be sure to check out our guide on the best way to use them for maximum value.

Specialty Earnings for Aeromexico Club Premier

While this may change from time to time, the only specialty way available to earn Aeromexico Club Premier Points is to purchase them.

Buy Aeromexico Club Premier Points

You can purchase Premier Points in multiples of 1,000 at a price of $15 per 1,000 Premier Points, plus the Value Added Tax (VAT).

Additionally, you will need to have an Aeromexico Club Premier account opened for longer than a month in order to purchase Premier Points.

This is not the worst deal in the world, and you can definitely utilize this method to top off your balance if you’ve exhausted all of the methods above.

Final Thoughts

In all, earning Aeromexico Club Premier Points is a great way to accumulate points for SkyTeam flights. There are a number of different ways to earn a respectable balance of Club Premier Points, and we hope that this guide helped you learn the best ways to do so. Happy earning!
