Then, once you’re enrolled, simply charge your ride (or several rides if each one is less than $10) to your credit card when using one of the qualifying ride-hailing services. You’ll receive a credit of up to $10 each month.

Can you combine monthly Delta ride-share credits?

When American Express added new benefits to its family of Delta credit cards, one of them was a new set of monthly credits that can be used with various ride-sharing services (upon enrollment). Although not everyone uses ride-hailing services on a regular basis, it’s important to take advantage of as many of these new perks as possible, especially since the annual fees on Delta’s credit cards also recently increased.

As of June 2026, this benefit has also expanded to include more Delta co-branded cards.

But you can’t just start charging rides to your Delta credit card and expect to get them free. It’s a little more complicated than that. Let’s take a look at how to use these new credits so you can be sure you’re getting your money’s worth.

With either card, you get complimentary access to both Amex Centurion Lounges (when you book your same-day Delta flight with your Delta Reserve card or Delta Reserve Business card) and Delta Sky Clubs (when flying on Delta), up to $240 in annual Resy credits (upon enrollment), eligibility for complimentary upgrades on Delta, 2 complimentary checked bags, priority boarding, and starting on your first cardmember anniversary and each year thereafter, a Companion Certificate for the cost of taxes and fees.

The Delta Reserve card has a $650 annual fee (rates & fees), and the Delta Reserve Business card also has a $650 annual fee (rates & fees).

How To Enroll for the Ride-Hailing Credits

If you have one of the 4 Delta cards with these new monthly ride-hailing credits, it’s extremely important that you enroll your card in this benefit before attempting to use it. Any ride-hailing charges made to your Delta credit card won’t earn any credits if you haven’t first enrolled the card.

Fortunately, enrollment is relatively simple, and you only have to do it once. Log in to your American Express account online and scroll to the benefits dashboard, where you’ll find the option to enroll in various features of your Delta credit card, including the ride-hailing credits.

Or, if you prefer, you can also enroll by calling the number on the back of your card. Just keep in mind that regardless of which method you use, enrollment may take up to 24 hours to take effect, so plan accordingly.

Which Ride-Hailing Services Count for the Credits?

The good news is you don’t have to guess whether a specific ride-hailing service counts toward the monthly credits. That’s because the terms and conditions of this benefit specify exactly 4 ride-hailing services that are eligible: Alto, Curb, Lyft, and Uber.

Most people are already familiar with Uber and Lyft, but the other services might be new to you.

Curb is an app that lets you request and pay for taxis. It’s available in over 30 cities, including Boston, Chicago, Los Angeles, Miami, New York City, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C.

Ride-Hailing Overseas

Of the 4 eligible ride-hailing services, only Uber operates outside of the U.S. and Canada. However, the monthly credits can only be earned on rides in the U.S., so don’t plan on using them when you’re overseas or across the border.

Food Delivery and Other Ride-Hailing Services

In addition to ride-hailing, some of these companies offer other services, such as Uber Eats for food delivery and Lyft’s scooters and bike rentals. However, the terms of the monthly credits specifically note that:

“Eligible purchases do not include delivery services (for example, food, packages, groceries, pet food, toys or retail clothing), bikeshare, scooter, car rental, transit, membership, or any other non-rideshare services offered by the rideshare providers.”

So you’re likely out of luck if you try to use these credits for anything but ride-hailing services. But if you’re able to take advantage of one of these ride-hailing services regularly, either in your home city or when you travel, these credits should save you money.

Hot Tip:

There’s currently 1 other way to take advantage of these credits besides using them directly for a ride-hailing. As of publication, adding Lyft Cash to your account in the Lyft app triggers the credit. However, the minimum Lyft Cash amount is $25, so you still end up paying for $15 of that after the $10 monthly credit is deducted. Also, you won’t find the option to add Lyft Cash in the Android app or online — it only works in the iOS app.

How To Use the Ride-Hailing Credits

Once you’ve enrolled your card in the ride-hailing benefit and chosen one of the eligible services from the list, using the credits is very easy. All you need to do is add your Delta credit card to the appropriate ride-hailing app and then pay for your ride with it. After the charge is posted to your account, you’ll automatically see a credit of up to $10 for it.

According to American Express, it may take up to 6 to 8 weeks after an eligible purchase is charged to the enrolled account for the statement credit to post. However, in reality, these credits usually appear on your account relatively quickly, within a few days or a week at most. But if the credit doesn’t appear, you’ll likely have to wait the full 8 weeks before you can file a complaint with Amex.

What if your ride costs less than $10? You’d only get a credit up to the amount of your ride-hailing cost, but can use these credits over multiple purchases. So if you take another ride in the same month, you can earn the rest of the credit that way. However, these monthly credits don’t roll over from month to month — you need to use it or lose it.

Authorized Users

If you have an authorized user on your card, can they use the ride-hailing credit as well? Yes, they can, as long as the primary cardmember has enrolled their own account in the benefit.

However, you only get 1 set of credits per account — there aren’t any extra credits each month for having an authorized user. The credits are shared across all cards tied to a single account. So, if your authorized user takes a ride-hailing ride and uses up the $10 credit in a particular month, you won’t be able to use the credit that month on your own card.

Are the Ride-Hailing Credits Worth It?

Since these credits are effectively restricted to actual rides and can’t be used on any of the other related ride-hailing services, whether you typically utilize ride-hailing services is what determines if the credits are worth it.

Many people use ride-hailing services multiple times a month, while others rarely need them. It’s also not unusual nowadays to rely on ride-hailing when traveling to easily get around a new area instead of renting a car.

If you already use ride-hailing regularly, either at home or on the road, these credits will be easy to use each month and help offset your card’s annual fee. On the other hand, if you never use ride-hailing, ensure you’re taking advantage of the other perks of your Delta credit card to get as much value from it as possible.

Hot Tip:

Set your Delta Platinum card, Delta Platinum Business card, Delta Reserve card, or Delta Reserve Business card as your default payment card in one or all of the qualifying ride-hailing apps. That way, you’ll automatically use the credit whenever you find yourself in a ride-hailing vehicle.

Final Thoughts

Delta and American Express have added more benefits to their card lineup recently, like the new monthly ride-hailing credits, and that perk now applies to Gold-level cards — something it didn’t when the benefit was first announced.

These Delta ride-hailing credits are relatively simple to use for those who use ride-hailing even once or twice a month. They can easily earn you up to $120 a year in money that goes right back into your pocket, making them one of the easier new perks to take advantage of each month.
