The Business Platinum Card® from American Express is among the best elite cards for business owners. The Amex Business Platinum card, with its $695 annual fee (rates & fees), has an impressive lineup of benefits and perks that easily justify the hefty annual fee.

One such benefit is the Adobe credit, which offers up to $250 in statement credits every year on eligible purchases with the design software company. However, you have to spend $600 within a calendar year to get the credit.

Read this guide to learn how to use this credit for maximum value.

How To Enroll and Use the Amex $250 Adobe Credit

The Amex Business Platinum card‘s Adobe credit of $250 per year applies to Adobe purchases, which can include plans.

Enroll in the Amex Business Platinum Adobe benefit before making any purchases or setting up any subscriptions. To do so, log in to your Amex online account. Then click “Rewards & Benefits” on the top menu, followed by “Benefits.” After that, hover over the “Business Platinum Adobe Benefit” box and click “Learn More,” then “Get Started.”

Check off the box that says “I understand and agree to the terms and conditions” and click “Enroll Now.”

Any purchases made directly with Adobe or on adobe.com qualify, whether you’re purchasing an annual prepaid subscription or stock photos. You can use the Amex Business Platinum card Adobe credit on Creative Cloud, Photoshop, Acrobat, Illustrator, Adobe Stock, or other Adobe products.

After the Adobe credit is activated, use your Amex Business Platinum card to make Adobe purchases. Once you’ve spent $600 within a calendar year, you’ll see a statement credit of $250 per calendar year posted to your account within 8 weeks after the purchase is made. You don’t have to purchase a plan of $600 or more in a single transaction to get the credit. Cumulative spending counts as long as you hit $600 within the calendar year.

If you don’t see the $250 credit, call the number on the back of your card to check on the status.

Hot Tip:

The Amex Business Platinum card Adobe credit was previously up to $150 per year and didn’t require meeting a minimum spending requirement. However, it was limited to eligible prepaid annual Adobe subscriptions. The $250 credit requires spending $600, but it offers flexibility because you can use it for any Adobe or adobe.com purchase.

Who Should Use the Adobe Credit?

The Adobe credit is great for businesses that rely on Adobe software for design, video, or AI generation. If you already spend $600 or more annually on Adobe, this benefit effectively gives you a $250 rebate. However, the out-of-pocket cost might not be worth it if you only use a single lower-tier subscription that’s less than $600 annually.

Using your credit for Adobe software subscriptions is a great way to get value from your credit. Let’s look at some of Adobe’s subscriptions on which you can use your credit.

Frequently Asked Questions

Does Adobe accept American Express?

Yes, Adobe accepts American Express as payment.

How do I use the $250 Adobe credit?

Any U.S. purchases made directly with Adobe or on adobe.com qualify, whether you’re making a one-time purchase or setting up an annual subscription. You must enroll in the benefit before making a purchase and spend $600 within a calendar year to get a $250 statement credit.

Is Adobe free with the Amex Business Platinum card?

You can receive a statement credit of up to $250 on eligible Adobe purchases. However, you have to spend $600 or more in a calendar year, which is at least $350 out of pocket once you apply the credit.

Can I get the full $250 credit with a single Adobe app?

Only the Creative Cloud Pro annual subscription exceeds $600. Most single-app subscriptions are about $300 to $400 per year, so you’d need to combine purchases to meet the $600 minimum unless you go with Creative Cloud Pro.
