Most of the time you’ll get more value by using hotel points for hotel stays, but there are situations where it can make sense to transfer them to Asia Miles — especially if you just need a few extra points for an award flight.

You can also use credit cards associated with hotel loyalty programs to earn reward points and then transfer those points to your Cathay Pacific Asia Miles account. For example, Hilton Honors, Marriott Bonvoy, IHG One Rewards, and World of Hyatt all have co-branded credit cards.
