Many of the credit card offers that appear on this site are from credit card companies from which we receive financial compensation. This compensation may impact how and where products appear on this site (including, for example, the order in which they appear). However, the credit card information that we publish has been written and evaluated by experts who know these products inside out. We only recommend products we either use ourselves or endorse. This site does not include all credit card companies or all available credit card offers that are on the market. See our advertising policy here where we list advertisers that we work with, and how we make money. You can also review our credit card rating methodology.

American Express has strengthened its efforts to attract new customers lately, offering massive welcome bonuses offers and refreshing a variety of its cards. Now, those with a small business have another offer to consider — and it’s very generous.
Let’s take a look.
Targeted offers are discussed in the article below. Please note that these offers are not available to all applicants. Any information related to targeted offers has been collected independently and has not been reviewed or provided by the card issuer.
All of these are significant and can get you a large portion of the way toward a high-end vacation.
We generally value Membership Rewards points at about 2.2 cents apiece, which means that a 150,000-point bonus is worth $3,300, and a 250,000-point bonus is worth $5,500.
Option 1: Check Amex’s Website Directly (Try This First)
If Amex’s offer isn’t the one you’re looking for, then the second option we recommend is checking via the CardMatch tool.
CardMatch uses a soft credit check to determine whether you’re eligible for any elevated offers. Because it isn’t a hard pull, the check won’t impact your credit score.
Option 3. Targeted Email Offers
If you’re still searching, keep an eye out for targeted email or mail offers. You’ll need to opt-in to receive New Card and Credit Offers in your Amex account’s General Marketing Email Preferences.
That’s a lot of value when you consider the annual fee of $695 is hefty (rates & fees).
Who Is Eligible for the Amex Business Platinum Card Welcome Offer?
If you do not currently have, or have not recently held, the Amex Business Platinum card, then candidates with good to excellent credit should generally be eligible for the welcome bonus offer.
Note that the Amex Business Platinum card and personal The Platinum Card® from American Express are separate products. Given that, not only can you hold both cards at the same time, but you can also receive both welcome bonus offers.
That said, even if you have never had the Amex Business Platinum card before, American Express may still tell you via a pop-up during the application process that you are ineligible for the welcome offer. This usually has to do with your past history with American Express, either via the number of cards you currently have open, cards you’ve closed in the past, or other factors. So, if you receive this pop-up, you can simply withdraw your application and try again at another time.
Maximizing Your Points With Winter Vacations
If you qualify for the 150,000-point welcome offer and maximize your minimum spend with 1.5x purchases, you’ll be sitting on a stockpile of 172,500 Amex Membership Rewards points. So, what can you do?
Spend New Year’s in Scotland
If you’ve never enjoyed Hogmanay (New Year’s) in Scotland, you should. As the country’s biggest holiday, the capital of Edinburgh goes absolutely wild for Hogmanay.
This means you’ll be able to enjoy a massive street party, winding parades, nightlong dances, and fireworks going off all over the city. It’s a hugely popular event, and prices reflect that.
As a transfer partner of Amex points, you’ll be able to convert your points to Hilton Honors at a 1:2 ratio. This means you’ll get 2 Hilton points for every Amex point you transfer — and Amex frequently has bonuses offering up to 30% additional points.
Even when costs are high, Amex points can be a good deal. For example, a 5-night stay at the centrally-located Hampton by Hilton Edinburgh West End can run you upwards of $2,000 — or just 100,000 Amex points.
Nothing says the holidays quite like Christmas markets, and everyone knows the Germans do them best. That’s why it’s so exciting that Hilton has a strong presence throughout Germany.
British Airways Executive Club has recently dropped its award pricing for Qatar Airways flights, meaning a one-way Qsuite ticket to the Maldives will cost you just 70,000 Avios. Round-trip, you’ll be paying 140,000 Avios — or 140,000 Amex points once you transfer them.
If you don’t already have the Amex Business Platinum card, now’s the time to get it. Although it’s an expensive card, its annual statement credits and huge welcome bonus offer make this offer more than worth it.
