The largest airport in Pennsylvania, Philadelphia International Airport (PHL), serves over 30 million passengers annually, is the 21st busiest airport in the U.S., and features over 400 daily departures on flights from 29 airlines to more than 130 destinations worldwide.

PHL has a dozen lounges, including those from American Airlines, Delta Air Lines, British Airways, and Chase. Which you can enter, where they are, and what they offer varies widely, though, so we’re here to guide you through all the airport lounges in Philly and fill you in.

Connecting Between Terminals for Lounge Access

All the terminals at PHL are connected after security, and walking between gates in the A, B, and C terminals typically takes about 15 minutes. But you might not have enough time to make a tight connecting flight if, say, you have to get from Terminal F, mostly home to American Eagle and other regional flights, to Terminal A, where the international airlines roost in Philadelphia — it’s over a mile between the farthest points of Terminal F and Terminal A-West.

To help with this, the airport offers a free shuttle bus from Terminal F near gate F-14 to gate C-16 (putting you at terminals C, D, and B) and gate A-1 (putting you at terminals A East and A West). The shuttles go in the opposite direction, too, but only stop at Terminal F that way.

You don’t have to reclear security with the shuttle, but if you are arriving internationally, you must go through customs and immigration, collect your bags, and then reclear security to catch a domestic flight from PHL. If you arrived in PHL on a domestic flight that was booked separately from the flight you’re catching at PHL, you still need to leave the secure area, retrieve your bags, and then turn around to be screened again before boarding your next flight.

Best Credit Cards To Access Priority Pass Lounges

Priority Pass is a lounge network of over 1,800 lounges and experiences that provide complimentary food, drinks, a place to relax, and other amenities. This network provides exceptional value for travelers looking for a place to relax and refuel before or in between flights.
