Fancy a trip to Spain? Have some spare Delta SkyMiles sitting around? Delta has launched its newest flash sale, which will get you to and from Spain for as little as 32,000 SkyMiles round-trip in economy. Delta usually charges anywhere between 56,000 and 75,000 SkyMiles for these same flights, so if you’ve been looking for a time to book, this is it. Let’s take a look at the details.
Offer Details
You’ll find these discounted rates across a range of airports within the U.S. In order to search, start at delta.com and input your travel dates, departure and destination airport, and select Shop with Miles. You may also want to hit My dates are flexible.
It’s a good idea to search using the calendar function, which can easily let you spot the cheapest flights across a whole month of dates. To do so, simply select Price Calendar.

We’ve found flights from 32,000 SkyMiles + ~$58 in taxes and fees for a variety of airports through early 2022:
Departures: Chicago (ORD), Dallas (DFW), Los Angeles (LAX), New York (JFK), Orlando (MCO), Raleigh (RDU), San Francisco (SFO), Washington, D.C (IAD)
Arrivals: Barcelona (BCN), Madrid (MAD), Valencia (VLC)
Dates: September, October, November, December, January February, March, April
This list is not exhaustive; the best way for you to find availability is by plugging in your own information. This is an excellent use of your SkyMiles, especially if you can find discounted rates from some airports. Depending on when you’re leaving, you can find cash prices of around $750 for these flights from the West Coast. East Coast fares are cheaper — but still nowhere near worth paying cash when you can instead fork over just 32,000 SkyMiles.

Earning Delta SkyMiles
SkyMiles are very easy to earn due to Delta’s co-branded credit cards with Amex and partnerships, but if you don’t already have enough sitting around for this sale, you can always opt to transfer some in.
As a transfer partner of American Express Membership Rewards, you can convert your points to SkyMiles at a 1:1 ratio. While we wouldn’t normally recommend this option, if you can find a good flight it can certainly be worth it — just be sure to check the cash price to make sure you’re redeeming for a good value.
Final Thoughts
Delta will occasionally launch these flash sales. They’re not always a good option, but in this case, you can score some serious value by redeeming for flights to Spain. This is great news for anyone itching for a warmer weather vacation as winter sets in.
