Final Thoughts

SMF has led a string of firsts for U.S. airports. It was the first to offer free Wi-Fi throughout its terminals and to consolidate rental car companies into a rental car facility.

Sacramento International Airport ranked number 8 in our study of the top 10 airports in the U.S. based on overall passenger satisfaction, average delay/cancellation times, public transit, lounge access, and Wi-Fi. Passengers love the airport’s canine therapy program where dogs roam the boarding areas, creating a calming environment for nervous flyers.
