3. Does the Capital One Venture X Rewards Credit Card Offer Extended Warranty?

The Capital One Venture X card offers a solid extended warranty benefit. When you purchase eligible items using your card with an original U.S. manufacturer’s warranty of 3 years or less, you’ll get 1 additional year of coverage.

4. Does the Capital One Venture X Card Offer Purchase and Return Protection?

Yes, the Capital One Venture X card offers both benefits! First, the card’s purchase security benefit covers eligible items for up to 90 days after the date of purchase against theft or damage, with a benefit amount of up to $10,000 per item and $50,000 per calendar year.

In addition, you can access return protection through the Capital One Venture X card, which covers you if you attempt to make a return of an eligible item within 90 days from the date that it was purchased, and your return gets denied. 5. Can You Downgrade the Capital One Venture X Card?

Even though the Capital One Venture X card is considered the ultra-premium version of the Capital One Venture Rewards Credit Card or the Capital One VentureOne Rewards Credit Card, you aren’t always allowed to downgrade your Capital One Venture X card to the lower fee options.

Downgrade offers are available only to certain cardholders — other cardholders will have no choice but to close their Capital One Venture X cards.

You can check for your downgrade offers by following these steps:

  1. Visit the Capital One homepage and log into your online account.
  2. Select your Capital One Venture X card.
  3. Click I Want To…
  4. Under Offers and Upgrades, click View Offers and Upgrades.
  5. If you have a downgrade offer, it’ll be available there. If no downgrade offers are available, you were not targeted to downgrade your card.

Theoretically, you can downgrade to the Capital One Venture card, Capital One VentureOne card, and even the Capital One Quicksilver Cash Rewards Credit Card.

The most important takeaway is that not everybody can downgrade the Capital One Venture X card; some of us just have to cancel the card instead of downgrading it.

8. Is the Capital One Venture X Card Hard To Get?

The Capital One Venture X card is probably the most exclusive Capital One card.

It has strict approval requirements. Beyond having an excellent credit score of 760 or above, we recommend not opening more than 6 credit cards in the last 2 years before applying for this credit card.
