There are different ways to secure bonus earnings on streaming services. You can purchase the services directly from the streaming services provider. You may be able to purchase streaming-service gift cards from a qualifying bonus-category merchant, such as an office supply store or supermarket.

Amex Offers

Amex Offers are bonus-earning and savings opportunities within your online Amex card account, and streaming services are often featured. Select the offer you want, add it to your card, and make a qualifying purchase from the featured merchant or service provider. Enrollment is required.

Chase Offers

All Chase credit and debit cards are eligible for Chase Offers. You can find these money-saving offers, which can include streaming services, by logging in to your Chase account online. Select the offer, add it to your card, make a qualifying purchase, and receive bonus earnings.

Shop through Chase

Ultimate Rewards-earning cards can earn bonus points via Shop Through Chase. You can find these offers in the Ultimate Rewards section of your online Chase account.

Select the vendor you want to shop with and click the shopping link. The merchants change, as do the level of earnings, but these bonus points are in addition to what you would typically earn using your Chase card.

Occasionally, you can find streaming service providers and merchants that sell streaming-service gift cards on Shop Through Chase, but some offers exclude gift card purchases.

Bottom Line:

You can receive elevated earnings or savings on streaming-service purchases by purchasing directly from a qualifying streaming-service provider, purchasing streaming-service gift cards at bonus-category merchants, via Shop Through Chase, or with Amex Offers or Chase Offers. 

Final Thoughts

If you’re currently spending a lot on streaming services, it can make sense to ensure that those purchases are made with a card that earns rewards for direct purchases or via gift cards purchased at bonus-category merchants.

However, unless you’re spending an inordinate amount on these services, selecting a card solely to earn rewards for streaming services may not be prudent.

It helps to list all of your ongoing expenses and select a card that rewards your most significant purchases, has a great welcome bonus offer, has an annual fee you feel comfortable paying, offers redemptions you find valuable, and includes benefits you would actually use.

A single card may not cover all those bases, but you can get close.
