Dazzler by Wyndham is a small brand that’s only found in 4 countries in South America, so it might not be that familiar to you. Since it’s part of the Wyndham family of brands, you can earn and use Wyndham Rewards points at Dazzler locations, which is great news if you’re a Wyndham loyalist.

In this post, we’ll go over the amenities offered by Dazzler by Wyndham hotels as well as the 7 most popular locations. Plus, we’ll take a look at cash costs vs. points costs to see if you’re getting a good deal when you book a Dazzler by Wyndham hotel with points.

Dazzler by Wyndham Brand Overview

Located in urban areas across South America, Dazzler by Wyndham hotels are simple and modern. The brand falls under the “lifestyle” category of Wyndham hotels alongside brands like TRYP by Wyndham, Esplendor, and Trademark Collection by Wyndham.

Business and leisure travelers alike will enjoy some of the benefits that come when booking a Dazzler by Wyndham hotel:

  • Complimentary breakfast until noon (although many locations list an end time earlier than this)
  • A welcome minibar
  • 2-hour extended checkout

In addition, many locations include a fitness center and a pool.

Hot Tip: The extra benefits offered at Dazzler by Wyndham hotels like free breakfast, a welcome minibar, and late checkout are only valid when you book directly through the hotel’s website or call center.

Dazzler by Wyndham Locations

There are 13 Dazzler locations across 4 countries — Argentina, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay — in South America.

Wyndham Rewards Overview

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts has a large portfolio of over 9,000 locations across 23 different brands (including Dazzler) in over 80 countries around the world.

  • AmericInn
  • Baymont by Wyndham
  • Club Wyndham
  • Days Inn
  • Dazzler
  • Dolce Hotels and Resorts
  • Esplendor
  • Hawthorn Suites
  • Howard Johnson
  • La Quinta
  • Margaritaville Vacation Club
  • Microtel
  • Ramada
  • Shell Vacations Club
  • Super 8
  • Trademark Collection
  • Travelodge
  • TRYP
  • Wingate by Wyndham
  • Worldmark by Wyndham
  • Wyndham
  • Wyndham Garden
  • Wyndham Grand

Through the Wyndham Rewards loyalty program you can earn and use points anytime you stay at a Wyndham hotel or resort.

There are a few Wyndham credit card options and 2 transfer partners (Capital One and Citi) to help you earn Wyndham points. Then you can redeem your points for hotel stays at any Wyndham property or at Caesars Entertainment partner hotels like Caesars, Harrah’s, and Bally’s.

It’s easy to determine if you’re getting a good value from your Wyndham points because every hotel falls into 1 of 3 tiers. Remembering that Wyndham Rewards points are valued at ~0.9 cents each, you can do some easy math to determine when you’re getting a good deal using points.

  • If your room costs 7,500 points, you’ll be getting a good value if the cash cost is over $68 per night
  • If your room costs 15,000 points, you’ll be getting a good value if the cash cost is over $135 per night
  • If your room costs 30,000 points, you’ll be getting a good value if the cash cost is over $270 per night

Go Fast vs. Go Free

Rewards nights through the Wyndham Rewards program are called Go Free awards. The points and cash option (1,500, 3,000, or 6,000 points per night plus a variable cash copay) is called Go Fast awards.

You may notice that, because of the way the website is translated, Go Fast awards can be called Go Quick awards — don’t worry, these are the same points and cash options you’re used to when booking any Wyndham hotel.

Bottom Line: When using points to book a Wyndham hotel (called a Go Free award night), you’ll notice that each hotel falls into 1 of 3 categories costing either 7,500, 15,000, or 30,000 points per night. All Dazzler by Wyndham hotels cost 15,000 points per night.

Located in Lima’s financial district, Dazzler by Wyndham Lima San Isidro is close to shops, restaurants, and attractions. El Olivar Park, the Lima Golf Club, and plenty of shopping are close by.

Guests can take in the city views after a long day of sightseeing in the hotel’s heated rooftop pool and hot tub. There’s also a fully-equipped fitness center. The on-site restaurant, 21.02 Resto and Lounge, serves Peru-inspired international cuisine, and room service is also available.

Guestrooms are comfortable and modern with amenities like air conditioning, a minibar, in-room coffee, and a large safe.

Prices run as low as $125 to $150 or 15,000 Wyndham Rewards points per night.

2. Dazzler by Wyndham Lima Miraflores (Peru)

Dazzler by Wyndham Lima Miraflores is located in the main tourist center of Lima in the neighborhood of Miraflores. This affluent beachfront town is known for excellent restaurants, nightlife, and great shopping.

Guests can start their day with the complimentary breakfast and end it with dinner at the on-site restaurant, or even room service. The rooftop gym and outdoor pool also provide excellent city views.

Rooms are basic but comfortable with amenities like a desk and lounge chair, free Wi-Fi, a minibar, and an LED TV.

Cash costs run about $125 to $150 per night or you can use 15,000 Wyndham Rewards points.

3. Dazzler by Wyndham Buenos Aires Polo (Argentina)

Dazzler by Wyndham Buenos Aires Polo is one of 5 Dazzler by Wyndham hotels in Buenos Aires and it’s definitely the most popular. Located in the Palermo neighborhood, it’s close to attractions like the Campo Argentino del Polo (often referred to as “The Cathedral of Polo”), Las Cañitas Gastronomic Pole, the Rosedal of Buenos Aires, and the Distrito Arcos (the city’s first open-air shopping mall).

Manso Fresh Food and Coffee is the hotel’s restaurant that serves a seasonal menu for lunch and dinner daily. The hotel offers a free breakfast buffet and room service as well. This pet-friendly hotel features meeting rooms for business travelers as well as a fitness center and an outdoor pool.

All of the 133 guest rooms have a private balcony and free Wi-Fi.

Guests can expect to pay about $120 per night for a base-level room or 15,000 Wyndham Rewards points.

4. Dazzler by Wyndham Colonia (Uruguay)

Dazzler by Wyndham Colonia is located on the banks of the Rio de la Plata, providing spectacular sunset views. Nearby is the Colonia del Sacramento, a historic neighborhood featuring 17th-century architecture.

The hotel is small in size with only 61 rooms, but it offers a bigger list of amenities than is usually found at Dazzler by Wyndham hotels:

  • Airport transfers
  • Transfers to local attractions
  • Pet-friendly
  • Gym
  • Solarium
  • Sauna
  • Jacuzzi
  • Wellness center
  • Heated indoor pool
  • Outdoor pool

The unique wellness center features an indoor pool with hot tub, dry sauna, Scottish shower, and a relaxation area. Spa treatments and massages are available for an extra charge. Guests can also relax at the outdoor pool or the solarium that includes a tranquil green space.

In addition to the complimentary breakfast, the on-site restaurant serves modern international cuisine for lunch, dinner, and afternoon tea on weekends with take-away service available throughout the week.

Rooms cost between $60 to $90 per night or 15,000 points. Because the cash cost is so low, this isn’t a great location to use points at because you won’t get a ton of value (~0.5 cents per point which is just over half of what they are worth).

5. Dazzler by Wyndham Montevideo (Uruguay)

Dazzler Montevideo rooftop pool

Dazzler Montevideo is located in the Pocitos neighborhood close to restaurants and shops. This pet-friendly hotel offers lots of amenities to ensure an enjoyable stay.

For those looking to relax, there’s Ananda Wellness and Spa that includes a hot tub, wet and dry sauna, Scottish shower, and relaxation area. Spa treatments are available by appointment for an additional charge. There’s also a spacious fitness center with street views and a seasonal rooftop pool.

The hotel’s on-site restaurant, Dakota Steakhouse & Bar, serves American food for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday.

Rooms here can cost as little as $55 per night! Unfortunately, the cost in points is still 15,000, so if you can save your points for a better redemption, it’s best to opt for the cash rate when it’s this low.

Hot Tip: Dazzler by Wyndham hotels cost 15,000 Wyndham Rewards points per night. If the cash cost is at least $135, you know you’re getting good value from your points (Wyndham points are valued at about ~0.9 cents each). If the cost is less than that, you might want to consider paying cash and saving your points for a better redemption. If you need some inspiration, check out these great ways to use your Wyndham Rewards points for maximum value.

6. Dazzler by Wyndham Ciudad del Este (Paraguay)

While Dazzler by Wyndham Ciudad del Este is perfectly suited for business travelers due to its location near the city center, the hotel welcomes leisure travelers as well. Located on the southeast side of Paraguay near the borders of Argentina and Brazil, there’s plenty of shopping and outdoor activities nearby. Visiting waterfalls is a popular tourist attraction — Monday’s Falls is 25 minutes away and the famous Iguazú Falls is just over an hour away.

The hotel itself offers an airport shuttle, free parking, free Wi-Fi, and a rooftop pool. Guestrooms are small but modern and feature basic amenities like air conditioning, a minibar, a TV with cable, and a bidet.

Cash costs here are low. A base-level room costs between $45 to $55 per night while the points cost per night is 15,000. Since this location has such a low cash cost, it’s best to use a travel rewards credit card to pay instead of your points.

7. Dazzler by Wyndham Asunción (Paraguay)

Located in the financial center just 10 minutes from the airport, Dazzler by Wyndham Asunción is in the heart of the action. Popular tourist attractions include the Shopping del Sol shopping center, the Mud Museum, the South American Football museum, and Paseo Carmelitas, which features restaurants and cocktail lounges.

Back at the hotel, the views are spectacular from the 15th-floor rooftop pool and bar and Spa Mujer Activa offers a place for relaxation and rejuvenation. There are also event spaces and a 24-hour fitness center. When it comes time to eat, hotel guests have 2 options — Negroni Rooftop for bistro-style dishes and creative cocktails and Takuare’e Restaurant which features Mediterranean cuisines with a focus on featuring sugar cane in its desserts and drinks.

Guest rooms are basic but comfortable and feature a desk, minibar, shower with tub, and individual temperature controls.

Cash rates start around $55 for a room while it costs 15,000 Wyndham Rewards points.

Final Thoughts

Dazzler by Wyndham is a small brand that’s part of Wyndham Hotels. Its 13 locations in South America are all in urban areas and cater to business and leisure travelers. Amenities aren’t overly plentiful but many locations have a pool and fitness center and some even have a spa or wellness center. Breakfast is always complimentary.

Point redemptions are 15,000 points per night, however, the cash rates are usually very low, which means you won’t get maximum value from your points at Dazzler by Wyndham locations.
