JetBlue Airline Overview

TrueBlue is JetBlue’s loyalty program. You don’t earn points based on miles flown but rather dollars spent on JetBlue flights and partner activities.

TrueBlue has customer-friendly policies like no points expiration and the ability to share points with family members.

There are 4 elite status levels: Mosaic 1, Mosaic 2, Mosaic 3, and Mosaic 4. They come with many elite status benefits such as bonus points, complimentary Even More Space seats, priority boarding, and free checked bags.

JetBlue is not part of an airline alliance, but there are an increasing amount of redemption options with its expanding list of partner airlines.

JetBlue TrueBlue Program

The TrueBlue program has a unique feature in Points Pooling — available to all members — and has 4 levels of elite status: Mosaic 1, Mosaic 2, Mosaic 3, and Mosaic 4.

Points Pooling

JetBlue Points Pooling

With Points Poolingup to 7 travelers can earn and share rewards together. There are several things to be aware of with Points Pooling:

  • When you join a TrueBlue Pool, 100% of your points go into the combined balance of the pool
  • The Pool Leader can manage members and designate who is allowed to use points
  • The Pool Leader can redeem any points in the pool without further authorization from a pool member
  • If the Pool Leader removes a member, no new member can be added for 6 months
  • A member who leaves a pool will do so with the remaining points balance in their own account

Mosaic Status Benefits

JetBlue is unique in that it offers benefits even before you reach the first elite tier at Mosaic 1. For every 10 tiles you earn, you can choose 1 of these perks:

  • Priority security access for the remainder of the year
  • Group B boarding (except on a Blue Basic ticket) for the remainder of the year
  • One-time 5,000 TrueBlue points you can redeem for a future flight
  • Complimentary alcoholic drink per flight for the remainder of the year
  • For 1 purchase, earn 2x bonus points on a JetBlue Vacations package

At Mosaic 1 status, you’ll receive:

  • Priority boarding, security, and check-in
  • 2 complimentary checked bags
  • Complimentary upgrade from Express to Business First on Heathrow Express
  • Complimentary inflight alcoholic beverages (up to 3 drinks per flight)
  • Complimentary same-day changes starting from 24 hours prior to your flight
  • Complimentary Even More Space seats at check-in

At Mosaic 2 status, you’ll receive:

  • Complimentary Even More Space seats at booking

At Mosaic 3 status, you’ll receive:

  • 4 “Move to Mint” certificates, allowing you to go from Core to Mint on eligible aircraft

At Mosaic 4 status, you’ll receive:

  • 2 more “Move to Mint” certificates
  • Ability to gift Mosaic 1 status

At each Mosaic level you reach, you’re also allowed to pick a custom perk of your choice:

  • Complimentary IHG Platinum status
  • Complimentary FoundersCard Blue membership
  • 15,000 bonus TrueBlue points, good for redemptions only
  • Gifting a 20-tile bonus to another TrueBlue member, allowing them to reach the next tier faster
  • Earn a 20-tile bonus for yourself
  • Pet fee waiver for the year (valued at $125 per use)
  • Mint Suite Priority, providing priority access to Mint seats (excluding Mint Suites)
  • $99 statement credit on select JetBlue credit cards

Earning Mosaic Status

To earn Mosaic elite status or incremental benefits prior to elite status, you need to earn tiles.

  • Mosaic 1: 50 tiles
  • Mosaic 2: 100 tiles
  • Mosaic 3: 150 tiles
  • Mosaic 4: 250 tiles

You’ll earn 1 tile for every $100 spent on any of the following: JetBlue flights, JetBlue Vacations, and Paisly by JetBlue (hotels, car rentals, activities, etc.) Additionally, you’ll earn 1 tile for every $1,000 spent on any JetBlue credit card.

Bottom Line:

JetBlue has 4 levels of elite status which are earned by collection tiles. Some perks are automatic at each level of Mosaic status, while others can be chosen based at different levels through the “Perks You Pick” program.

TrueBlue has no mileage charts and no blackout dates, which means any ticket for sale in cash can be purchased with points.
